Post subject:  Some bugs
Just a few bugs, I'll update as I find them

-Can't get out of jail with the gold option, it has to be in your pack, not from bank, same with ATM chests too.
-Can't get into most of the shops in wind for some reason.
-Stat fish count as pots, have to wait 18 seconds between each one, not really sure if its a bug but troublesome nonetheless.
-Can recall out of jail (FIXED)
-Monsters are very overpowered (heh heh)
-When you cut reapers you dont get more deadwood but bones.
-Not sure if its a bug, but when making poison pots I get a makers mark, and its only with poison pots.

I can vouch for that. Not the jail part but, the ATM. :P Also, will we be able to pay house taxes without having the gold on our person? Or even pay just a portion of our taxes? It sort of sucks to have to carry a bunch of gold on you outside of your house where certain folks might be hidden and waiting for you... ;)

with the brief time that you could place houses I placed one and played around with it, you should be able to open your bank account from your house even if you dont have and atm chest unless that is something that is getting changed.

Now THAT would be fricken awesome. However, I would still like to keep our ATM chest just since, well, we have one! Nanner nanner poo poo! ;)

Seriously though, I too would like to know if having access to your bank box from within your house is going to be a new feature. And will this essentially poof our green ATM chests?

(Gosh darn it, Dedo, you had better not be starting rumors. Heh, heh. ;) )

That's a good point! However, that's what people said about having ATM chests. But then that's why they are so expensive to purchase and cost money to use. So maybe Chips is right. Leave the old system be. 8)

why would we never leave the house? thats just silly its much more convient this way and when you want to socialize you dump what ever you want to work on into your bank and take a jaunt to the bank then sit there socialize and craft. not to mention it will be nice to be able to transfer goods in the comfort of my own home!


and no im not trying to start rumors, right after the server switched I went to see if my vendor had money on them and sure enough she did enough to buy a house so I did went bought one and moved all my stuff (by hand i might add) go everything squared away nicely and was messing with the house controls. accessing your bank was one of the controls that and the keyless entry was neeto, even if you leave your door wide open people can't walk into your house it stops them on the steps. you can also set security levels for your chests no more just secure chests you place a normal chest "i wish to secure this" and you get a menu as to the security level you wish to have the chest at: owner, co-owner, friend

well for 1 it makes no since for you to actually be able to access a bank from a remote island or w,e you are but besides
you would have access to everything like almost all the time which is stuPid you should be forced atleast a little bit to move around the shard,

Which is why I shifted gears there for just a little bit, little brother. The fact that ATMs are so expensive makes it a big decision whether or not to have one. Couple that with the "fee" to access it each time makes it very worthwhile to use a bank sometimes.

HOWEVER, I think you are assuming that everyone uses the same bank to hang out at to do all of their transactions. Even if we didn't have an ATM at our house, we would still use the nearest one which in our case is in East Britain. Just in case you were wondering, nobody hangs out there btw. Heh, heh. :P

I guess the point is that, if someone wants to hang out they will. If not, they wont. Heck, they may just hang out with a few select friends at some other secret rendezvous point somewhere. It doesn't matter if they have an ATM or even "magical" bank access from their house regardless of where it is located. What makes a bank a good hangout point is the fact that you have easy access to items or gold to barter with the others that hang out there as well. Other than that, it's simply just another place where people seem likely to hang out at. It could be anywhere. Why don't we hang out around a certain Moongate or even at the fenced in yew tree in Yew? Get the picture? :)

So I guess I'm swinging back now. I don't think having unlimited bank access is going to turn everyone into hermits that never hang out at the bank in Vesper or Britain or where ever the "bank de jour" is. Like I said, a bank does make a nice hang out point since you can have easy access to things to help people out or trade with. However, access from one's house makes mundane transfers easier (especially ingots).

Even though I suspect that these things have already been decided (thanks again, Dedo for the info) let it be known that ol' Cyber needs to be put down for a "Yes". 8)
