Buccaneer's Den has undergone a revamp! Now equipped with defensive fortifications and hidden portals, the occupying guild will have no trouble driving off invaders!
Guilds are able to challenge for ownership of the Buccaneer's Den guild area by doing the following:
The Guild leader (of a guild wishing to challenge) posts a new topic in the Ye Olde Guild Hall forum stating what guild he/she is from and which guild they will challenge for ownership.
Sometime during the last few days of the month the challenge was made in, a battle will take place where both guilds will be locked inside Buccaneer's Den until one guild emerges victorious. There are a few ground rules for this battle:
1) Only members who have been with the guild for over 2 weeks may compete (this is to prevent stacking of teams right before the battle).
2) Only one character per player will be used for the challenge. Even if you have 2 characters in the same guild, you will only be able to use one of them for the challenge.
3) Only one guild may challenge at a time. If the current owners have already been challenged, and another guild challenges, then the two challenging guilds must fight to see who gains the right to challenge.
4) The losing team is likely to be looted of all their items. If they wish to surrender they must drop a runestone and leave the area or if they're red, they can only leave once they've been killed.
The guild that wins the challenge is able to claim Buccaneer's Den as their own for a whole month, until the next challenge. This includes access to the guild town section of Buccaneer's Den, the underground passageways and the hidden teleporters.

put a kickass pirate npc guild with a big boat as their headquarters by the dock. spread the theme all over the island and in the water with npc's/monsters to fit.
make like a treasure chest with decent loot but requires a gm lockpick at the end of the underground lair and one in the boat that respawns so often. or some kind of special reward for taking them down. make it hard as f***.

we should attract pvp to that area make it like the new pk bridge lol i like drizzt's idea alot but it should be a spot with shops or something to attract all types of players... for some reason everytime i go into bucs den i wanna look for a player to kill or to pvp with.... so make it a hot spot so where new players go to get their good loot and older players comes and pk they arse... id go for drizzt idea sounds coo or put some really good npcs with good loot...

blues could come in groups to fight the pirate guild and loot chests and fight red players plus kill the vendor npc's to piss the red players off. reds would be very protective of the only place besides wind to shop on their red chars.
what makes it such a death trap is the anti recall area which is cool but at the same time no pk mages want to hang there because they cant recall back and forth conveniently. wind is so much easier.
