When I started with 50% poisoning, it gave me 2 bright green poison potions. I was able to apply this to my dagger, and when I stabbed monsters they got poisoned. Now, the poisons I find on monsters or the ones alchemists craft are a different color and I cant apply them to weapons?? How come?? can you make it so it works like a normal poison potion and I can also apply it to weapons?

I second that...

let poison be applied to weapons :)

But deosn't that make magic poison weapons we already have completely worthless if you can apply poson to w/e weapon you want? Not saying it is a good idea or a bad one but someones poison weapon collection drops in value 300 k or so they might get a llittle upset no?

Not necessarily. Poisoning takes skill.. if you have 50% poisoning the poison on your weps will barely do any damage.. For example the weapons I've poisoned with the potions I started with on this shard, only caused monsters to be "ill" or "a little ill", which barely does any damage and lasts like 5-10 seconds. The only poison that really does the most damage is deadly poison, which requires GM poisoning and GM alchemist to make the potion. So not just anyone can go ahead and poison their weapons, it takes at least 90-100% poisoning and 90-100% alchemy to be effective, which is a rare combo in itself.

maybe when u apply poison pots the time of the weapon poisoned is less or maybe for a few hits only, neva try it before

It makes sense that if a weapon is poisoned, the poison would eat away at the weapon faster so it would be less durable and break faster. Not 2 or 3 hits like daggers, but about half the normal durability of a GM weapon.

This would make poison weapons less valuable, but not completely worthless.....AND this would be a good step in allowing high end weapons to be player made.

LOL, poison isn't acid.. I don't know if I agree with making poisoned weapons break faster. I think the fact that poison actually wears off and you have to reapply the poison is sufficient enough.

well maybe not BREAK the weapon but instand could be 1 time poison and last for a few min

let say u got a poison pot and some BA, so u can use 1 time the poison pot in the weapons and this one get poison properties for like 15 min.

something like that should be nice

iori i dont think thats very fair cuz mages have to use 1 pot per poison,,,
with that 1 pot has the potential for many times what you can get normally,

maybe each pot should differ on what kind and how long it last,,,

2 deadly pots on a wepon would last for like 10 mins and give u ill,,, or very ill
as
lower pots offer only less poison but for a longer amount of time lol

Uhm, if deadly pots make you only "ill" or "very ill" then they aren't deadly pots.

Lets not mix labels around and say we solved the problem.

.
no i ment, when applied to wepons,
logically it does make since, if you put a whole deadly pot to someone and you get deadly poisoned, you wont get that same effect applying it to something,
because poison would drip off, and only a small portion of the poison potions solution is touching the person,,,

um,
OR
make it so the poison wears off after 1 poisoning hit,,,

ummm,, in fact scratch all that its a bad idea period :/

we have poison weps already,,, lets stick with that? lolz

Right now mages take NS to cast poison depending on their poisoning skill, but they can still throw poison pots if they wish.
Warriors can only throw poison pots.

What about if the mages only take 1 NS to cast poison regardless of their skill, and warriors can poison weapons for a predetermined amount of time. The level could be determined by the type of pot a warrior is using and the warriors poison skill. Time could be Dependant on tactics or anatomy or something... with everything at GM the longest a weapon can be poisoned is 15 minutes.

i think it should be base in the poison pot... less poison dunno 1min - deadly pot 10min or 5min
