I've been training Mining and Blacksmithy really hard from the time I came back, and I'd like to ask and suggest a few things I find wrong. First of all, I remember that really old times you could re-smelt daggers into ingots back, I forgot how to do it, and does it still exist? if it does exist can I do it with other weapons now too? now, I am at 38.8 Blacksmithy that's under the optional starting point 50, yet I can't gain with daggers according to .skilltest, I belive daggers should make me gain untill I reach the 50 point skill starting point. About colored ingots, I can only make bucklers and dosn't matter what type of ingot I use I can't gain threw them aswell. It does make sense that u canot even try to craft heaters and such at my Blacksmithy skill, but atleast I should be able to gain, since it is a unique ignot not such as iron, and if I succed to make anything with even if its a buckler I should be awarded with a gain eventually. That's just my 2 cents tho... |

I totally agree. Hadn't gained with mining since the beta.. but I admit I haven't played my miner in 2-3 weeks. Basically, RMX.. the way I understand it is that supposedly you can craft more involved objects such as armor parts for faster gains. That should reduce how many things you make, which would cut down on the time. At least.. I THINK so lol, I could be corrected... either way, the system probably isn't "perfect" yet. |

rofl ya, its a bitch, i sure do wish i trained it b4 hand, but ya RMX for the best gains now, you have to find out which items are hardest... which is hard to do at a base level because you get a few options and no way to tell which ones have higher requirements... |

Thing is, that with colored ingots I can only do bucklers, dosnt even if I have 100 of that ingot on me... And I can't gain from bucklers according to Skilltest. So I find that weird.. p.s As a frost elf -smith- is it harder to gain mining? |

I dunno, it sure seems like it! but i cant say seeing i didnt try human smiths. but shit ATM i wouldn't be surprised if you were below a certain % of Black smithing there was a break in skill in which you can't go past that point at all/ |

well, you smart people who have the answers need to write guides to get stickied (or wiki'd) since stratics is useless for this shard. i know it will take a little work but not having guides and sitting in the forum waiting for replies is even worse. using search for threads always pulls up 600 posts that have nothing to do with what you search for and it gets tedious reading obsolete posts made in 2006 O_o |

you cant see what skill it takes to make what items because everyone is already trained or is attempting to train up,,,,, |

Still no answer to my question tho, that why I can succesfully make only one thing with colored ingots, yet I can't gain Blacksmityh threw them. only threw iron that gives me more options. |
