When you type .help, the "Where Am I?" button at the very top left doesn't work anymore... I remember this not working for a while but I do remember when it did work. Just thought I should share this

Try typing .where It works for me.

Yes i would also like to see it working again, but maybe its just another thing that was never really taken out? World Maps are still around.

Nope, and get used to it, a lot of stuff from now on is going to require you having petty-change on you(not a lot, but a little).
This is to promote realism(since not every store will have a bank account/etc), and to put a little more danger into your lives (pks more likely if people have a little gold going ching-ching).

If you want realism tho, why would you have to pay money to look at a map? Realistically if you had a map it would be in your pack and you would just take it out and look at it.

Yes, but that wouldn't tell you "where" you are. It's not like you have a magic map that has a "you are here" sign. (For those, please see the cartography skill, level 40-70).
Consider this the equivalent of asking someone where you are on a map and them pointing it out for a fee.
