it goes blank,,, nothing

it goes through post fine, says do you want to bboot from disk,,, (wait and it goes awayt and is supposed to load windows off the HDD)

What motherboartd are you using? specs of the comp please, do you have anything plugged into the USB headers on the board, my thought would be to remove everything other than the essentials.

Need some more specifics to get you running again chippers

You live in a ghetto apartment complex, yet you own a rich boy's toy like an Itouch? :?: :? :?:

Yeah sorry Chips, still at a loss on this one. I don't get how Windows could write the install to the HD (100x) and yet not be able to read the HD for setup.

I still think it wouldn't be a bad idea to load up an Ubuntu disc on it just to see what GRUB says when it goes to boot your O/S. It will at least be more informative than Windows not telling you anything at all lol

I was there for business, if your white and you live in Edmond it's highly unlikely that you live in a ghetto apartment complex. But if you are African American, it's another story :P

Never knew you lived in oklahoma apocalypse, where do you school at?
I really should pay more attention to people's IPs.

Chips, i suggest you check(meaning unplug and replug) all cabling, then check the bootloader.
Any linux recovery CD should get ya fine.
Then run a memory test.

Also, since it's a new computer, have you checked your power usage to make sure your power supply is big enough? Could be causing the reboots or drives not booting right

Hey now, I once saw a dude going into his apartment in the worst apartment project in the area who was a tall, white dude with a mohawk and a trenchcoat! <ahem> won't say what I was there for <cough>

I'm a ghetto guy living in a house I own in a nice neighborhood. It's pretty easy to tell too, because I'm to only one too poor to afford much upkeep... so my house and the yard looks like the one from The Addams Family

See there Chips? A fellow nerd recommending the Linux CD. You really should burn one (preferably Ubuntu since you are a UNIX newb) and install it man.. it will offer FAR better diagnostics than a Windows disc.

After all is straight, you can always go back to ol' Windoze so that most yr direct X games don't play like total crud.
