I just erased what looked like a perfectly good war fork!

I was playing with Thrustan, my blacksmith. He has 98 Item ID, I think. I pick up a un-ID'd warfork I had left in a public chest. I then used the old method of just dbl-clicking it to identify it.. and the system returned something like:
OK, no problem I think. I open my skill list, choose item ID, and... um... where did the warfork go?

Don't see how you erased it and can't replicate in testing.
Try logging the char out, closing the client, and logging back in, see if it re-appears.

prolly had it picked up and if your running a skill while its picked up it disappears...

I tried that last night, and I tried again this morning from a different machine. It's really not there. It vanished!

if you have like uo loop running a skill for you if it runs the skill while something is in your cursor it disappears until you move something in your pack i dunno what happens if you log out though while its off in never never land

Ah, gotcha now. LOL No, I don't use UO loop or any other macro program. I was just trying to double-click the weapon itself to identify it, then clicked the Arms Lore skill once from the Skills menu. Then, I noticed the weapon was gone.

i'm lookign at the char thurstan and he has a +1 war fork in his pack.
Is this a different one?

... I see it now.

Chalk it up once more to me just being too fahking stupid to play a 2D game.
