I had the client open to the login screen. It was left that way for a few hours. I came back to my PC and found the CPU was running between 97 and 100% I shut down the client and it dropped below 30%. Anyone else have that happen? Is there a way to fix that and also, I am wondering if that happens only if left idle, or if it is anytime eg during gameplay.

Its like that as soon as you open the client, logging in or not.

i limit obsi to a single core on my pc making sure it doesnt take up to much resoruces.. it shouldnt need much.. thus.. i do this

this is how i do it-
open obsi and log in-
press control alt delete (or bring up ur task manager for w,e OS. u have)

step 1.JPG
right click obsidian. and go to "go to proccess"
it should bring you to a process called client.....

step 2.JPG
right click client and then go to set affinity... and it shows u how many processor cores u have.
you can always set a given program for as many cores as u want it to work on at a time...
when

step 3.JPG
just uncheck a box/or 2 / or 3 as you see appropriate..

when im outta town or hunting I usually put it on both processors.. not that it effects my crashing or anything.. just to be safe :)

No, I use it to play on RunUO-based shards. Razor doesn't even work correctly with Obsidian because Obsidian is a Sphere shard.

@Chips: Didn't think about that! I used that technique for another program once before but I forget now.
