As a wood, elf one of your skills is to bind trees allowing you to telly between them. you bind two trees wait one day and it's supposed to be good. Not sure if it's a bug or im just an idiot...but no one seems to know why it wouldn't work.

secondly as a wood elf the bind pet option is pretty cool...although as a 411 you should have your only melee skills gm'd or as high as possible. if you feel the need as i do to use your binded form...your obvious attack is physical so you can take away the need to use weapons. Of course as long as you have wrestling as a major skill.

Don't think you can cut meat as a wood elf (ranger to be specific)either..so make sure you have money to buy food...
your tailoring gets a boost, but you cant carve the animals to get the hides for making your own leather armor...doesnt seem to make much sense.

If anyone is interested, i will keep posting on what i find on them..considering i looked through the forums and i can't find anything...although i might be an idiot. any input on them or rangers would be much appreciated.

You can use daggers to cut stuff.

Your bind tree is most likely not working because your trying to bind somewhere in a heavily traveled area, and your bindings are being harvested by lumberjacks.

if you are a ranger you should be able to use a dagger, hatchet, smith hammer. these three are all that is allowed on crafter type characters so should also be allowable on all other class types. all other blades/axes/cudgels you would be unable to use however.

if the tree that you had binded is harvested by a lumberjack then the pathway is broken. it is best to bind pine trees as most of them require high level lumberjacks to harvest them so they are less likely to be harvested.

and while i animal form obviously you would be unable to use a weapon...you do have an extra 100 skill to use you would be able to use this gm wrestling or just not transform into an animal to fight.

Currently, my ranger cant equip anything. not even a knife...not a skinning knife...im not sure why...it might be a glitch.

you have tried a dagger? i believe i was able to on my woodelf ranger but i dont recall if it was before or after i changed to race character. if a dagger doesn't work then it could have all blades disabled.

you say that you are unable to equip anything? not even a bow? if that is the case your animal form may not have been fully dispelled...


and i was incorrect before they are not pine trees they are cedar trees.
