I have no idea when exceptional bows can be crafted I have heard 90 leaving an 18 point gap.... Slowly being closed.... I'm hoping maybe for something at 82 but doubtful. If not another bow the possibly make saboswood more plentiful since we find about 5-20 saboswood in 15 minutes to the 200 regular logs.

yeah i hit 83 and no excep. bow yet

Yes on the saboswod too, i thought it would be second most abundant since its the second wood but sapling is more common than saboswod

What about using different coloured logs in your fletching? That increases the skill needed

that would be ok if were able to get a fair amount of different colored logs, as it stands right now im averaging 9 saboswod for every 13 minutes i spend during the same trip i also get 222 regular logs.... i also average about 9 sapling and 9 tunschwhatever when i get any at all....all the colors seem to drop about the same amount rather then more of the lower "leveled" colors.

Agreed, thats always an option.

But, the issue with that is that for like 1k logs, Xero, with 80 ish lumberjacking skill, averages about 30-40 saboswod, around the same in sapling, 10 tuntesch, 1 or 2 orihcyk, and 1 or 2 naghomay (roughly). With that, its about 5 bows made of sapling, 1 of tuntesch (assuming its a superior bow, or crossbow, not a heavy xbow). And the saboswod is used for splicing and weaving. If it were in lines with iron's ratio to rusty and bronze, where it's about 5 iron to 2 rusty, (roughly), with saboswod and sapling, then, making different colored bows would be a viable option for training.

So at the end of the day, you'll get a nails worth of movement on the little gain bar with the wood you'll get after getting 1k logs, and you're left crafting a bow that you got 10 skill points ago. Granted, I don't think my gains are too slow at this point, really depends on when this exceptional bow is gonna pop up. If its 90, i think that's too much.

i agree im averaging about .125 gain with every 300 logs im crafting into sup heavy xbow so i get about 1 full gain for about each 2.4k logs not a horrible ratio at all just would be nice to have the other bows available. up to 72 there was a new bow every 5 skill or so...

Alright so these are the logs i just got

My skill went from 80.5 to 81.2 btw

1618 logs
51 saboswod
111 sapling
14 tuntetsch
7 orihcyk
8 naghomay

32:1 ratio on the saboswod, this is a 3.125% chance of getting saboswod
14: 1 ratio on sapling, about a 7.15% chance here
115: 1 ratio on tuntestch, and you get the idea.

Dont know if these ratios are somewhat around the area they should be, feedback would be nice :)
