I know Bob has mentioned this previously in another thread, but I forgot when it was due.

Believe he said he would try to work on separate armor for rangers once all races were 100% finished.

Don't quote me on this one though.

i honestly dont see what can be done here...
what is expected?
currently u have something less than plate in AR rating..

isn't chainmail/ringmail the armor for rangers.. lol..
i think this is a disaster waiting to happen.. what are you guys expecting something equivalent to plate?
wouldn't that do away with the point of a warrior? :/

ill go on record saying that I think it would be a very bad idea to implement some new type of armor for rangers.

what can be done... is that leather ar could possibly be strengthened up a tad to use in conjunction with your ringmail and plate.. but other than that i dont see anything that needs to be done

good enough thanks for the update.

Adam I think armors that allow you maybe to dodge more melee attacks etc doesnt necessarily have to have a big boost in Ar but a slightly better one id be fine if all together the ar was at 50.....

now you know what the other side of the spectrum feels like.... I remember bob saying something about craftable leather armors. I'm assuming there will be different leathers like there are different ores. I doubt we will have anything close to as strong as plate but something other then the heavy chain would be nice. And don't quote me on the leather armor thing thats just what I remember...

not when the idea is clearly stupid...
in my realm there is only one spectrum then..

first you take classes and give archers a armor cap for a reason.. to only then go back later and give them some kind of special armor?
:/

there is more of a problem with certain weps dealing way to much dmg instead of rangers not having enough armor...
(i am speaking of all the spear noobs) (yes spear noobs.. i am calling you out.. lol) but its not just spears... they seem to just be the best atm..

But you still had some tanks using hammer picks, which actually some warriors used too, and war hammers and war axes were definitely popular, and then not alot of people used kryss' and war forks, but they were still used. Point is, there was a "good enough" weapon for every fighting style

people predominately used battle axes and viking swords or long swords some people did use fencing and liked the big damage that the spears and shit did but no one really knew how hard they could actually hit... the damage they are doing isnt new maybe pitchforks are a bit stronger but spears are about the same from what ive seen.

Please keep on topic. I dont think this is a very productive thread until the armor patch has been released.

the only different thing you could do with ranger armor that i could think of..is make it lighter, since obviously you cant have it the same as plate for armor....or i guess you could have some rare armor that gave you a +6 to dex(but ive never liked the idea of giving items stat boosts)
