I've been playing fine for the past cpl of weeks but when I tried to open obsidian this morning it wouldn't load. My laptop freezes and I cant open any other programs, I have to restart my laptop and when I do I get this error...
"Too many other files are currently in use by 16-bit programs. Exit one or more 16-bit programs, or increase the value of files in your Config.sys file."
This only seems to happen with obsidian... any help would be appreciated, my laptop is running windows 7 pro.
Thanks Aimee

For future reference, instead of losing your macros, you can save them.
All you have to do is get into the obsidian folder.
Go to My Computer, hit the Games folder, then the Obsidian folder, and then the Desktop folder, then your account name, then Obsidian Shard.
Now, you should see all your characters in folders. To save the macros, double click the folder of the character you want the macros saved for, find "macros2d.txt" and copy or move that file to your desktop.
Once you do that, you can uninstall, then reinstall obsidian. Once obsidian is installed you can place that file in the same spot, overwriting the old one.
You may have to open obsidian and logon to each character if you can't find any of your characters in the folder.
I've done that many times and it always works for me!
