Hey everyone! i'm new to this shard, and i'm actually going to start playing here... And of course i got some question, before i'll create character(s) here. I wanted to be an Elf (archer), that can craft bows, lumberjack and tailor... What race should i go then? Or i can't make Elf that is nice in archery and in those 2 craft skills? And another question is what sub-skills should i grab for Tailoring and Bowcrafting? like Arms Lore and Item ID or smth? |

yeah, i was thinking of to make character for combat and Frost Elve craftsman or Wood Elve craftsman for crafting, but i didn't find any information more then on Player Run Site... what there said about Frost Elves (craftsman): "...they excel in the skills of Blacksmithy, Mining, and Tinkering and can learn any trade skills." Wood Elves (craftsman): "...they excel in the skills of lumberjacking, bowcraft, tinkering and carpentry, they can learn any trade skills." So there is no crafter-class(subclass) that can do bowcrafting and tailoring together? so i'll have to make 2-3 crafters (3 only if the Dark Elve (not shown on that site) are only one who can tailor) to craft platemails, bows and leather armor? P.S. Thx |

the descriptions you get ingame aren't very accurate, but I'd say go frost elf craftsman. You get a racial ability that lets you teleport to ice isle, which means its really hard to get pk'd. There aren't any tradeskills they can't do either. Mine is GM mining, blacksmithy, carpentry, tailoring, tinkering, arms lore, and item ID and I'm happy with that. Tinkering is pretty useless actually but I just like to have tools with my name on them. |

In the long run being human has no advantage other than being able to get higher magery for recalling. It may take a little longer to go from 20% or whatever to 50% but you get 80 more skill points so you can GM 7 things instead of 6. Plus you can avoid pk's easily... |

oh tyvm, guys! that really helps... think i'll make crafter first and start playing him, so i'll be able to make weapons/armor for my warrior (or whoever) in future ...well, just as BitTorrent downloads full vesion of Obsidian... it's going quite long hehe |

btw what is the difference between Dark/Wood/Frost elven craftsmans? do they have any advantages in some crafts? And Dark/Wood Elves can be bowcrafters and tailors too, like Frost Elves? |

Dark elves don't exist here anymore, as in you can't create a Dark Elf char (even though there are a couple of Veterans who have Darl Elf chars themselves). But yes, Wood Elves can train bowcrafting and tailoring. Basically, unless your char is specifically a mage/warrior/necromancer, then you should be able to train _any_ craftsman skill |
