I've had this planned for a week or so but here it is - EVENTS ARE BACK ON OBSIDIAN!
As some of you may have noticed, after being super-active for a few weeks it finally grated on me being the most active staffmember and having such a burden on my shoulders. Of course, Hydro is about, but he lives in a different timezone so for many of the players, I have been the only staffmember for them who is regularly on.
I got frustrated with being the only counselor to run events, answer simple pages etc. I also had massive commitments in terms of a new job, and enjoying a fun social life after moving to a new area where I didn't know anyone.
However, many of you will also have noticed that I have been increasingly active with my player character, and enjoying Obsidian a little more - apart from backstabbing and bug abuse which (despite so much community anger about this behaviour) still seems to be going on!
To sum it up : I still have tons of prizes to give away for events, some of which are pretty special. To this end, I will be hosting more and more events to entice people back and entertain the players here. You guys have a responsibility to help out as well - advertise the shard responsibly and try and get old players back!
Finally, I will be renewing the acceptance of any cool donations you have for prizes - but please refrain from throwing old sh*t in those prize chests! It takes a *long* time to sort through useless items and I eventually gave up. THEY ARE NOT TRASH CANS - DON'T PUT SOMETHING IN THAT YOU WOULDN'T CONSIDER A PRIZE!
Nice to see some input from the players as well, thanks to Count Croxton for taking the initiative but be careful not to tread on peoples toes...
