o i'm reading the da vinci code, really interesting stuff upto now, i loved the bit where he's lecturing and he explains about the number 5 and phi recurring in all living things, i looked it up on the net and its apperently true, I'd never heard of that before some really interesting esoteric theories in there.

And the bit on the eifel tower from a symbolists point of view being in a nation of womanisers and over compensating diminutive leaders (napoleon).
I think i'll always look at is a nations giant penis extension from now on.
Then again england has big ben what does that tell you, yes thats right its were we wear our wrist watchs, hence the phrase "time on yer cock?" :)

I wouldnt mind reading up some on the truth behind the book tho.

lol yeah when i read that phi thing i started measuring, and it did come out to be true, really weird.

the behind the book one becomes a real bore cuz he explains things over and over again. talks about mary magdelene(sp?) and the scrolls, and jesus...i remember when i had the da vinci code i read it in a week...and the truth behind it tok me a month cuz it was just so boring .. :p i only read it when we had free time at school, and sometimes i;d just fall asleep...i took it once to the dentist..and the dentist lady started asking me questions about it cuz she read the da vinci code..and wrote down the name of the bok and author and stoof..

The cover of the book is somewhat of a code too, you can read stoof in mirrors and wutnot, thres a quiz online all about the book, i never got past the 3rd question :(

its a good thriller page turner but besides that msot things arent really true

its a nifty book nontheless

rasputin had a big wang too!!!

I don't read too much, but I was searching through my basement the other day, found this dusty old version of hitchikers guide to the galaxy(the three books in one version), decided to read it just because the movie is comming out.

And i am really enjoying that book a lot.

Brave New World - Alduos Huxley

The Marabou Stalk Nightmare - Irvine Welsh

Porno - Irvine Welsh - Really enjoyed the expression on the womans face when i asked for this with the phrase "Have you got porno?" its the follow up to trainspotting and o yes its apparently due to be turned into a movie :)

Best short story - The Raven Edgar Allan Poe

allen ginsberg and jack kerouac were also quite interesting reads too.

Yeh the RA Salvatore books are really good. I also remember enjoying the Alan Garner books 'The WeirdStone of Brisingamen' etc...

A little different but if none of you have read '...Dr Faustus' by Christopher Marlowe then you should. Its a play but its pretty deep and kinda makes you think about the price to pay for greed and corruption.

Yeh the original is cool apparently, but I've only glanced at not read it... German wasn't it?

I find the play a good read... I like some old-skool british wit...It's also a lighter read - but not exactly a comedy :)

Nice to see the off-topic forums being used for something more constructive than posting 18+ material ;)
