Jeez..its not 'mightier than thou' attitude from the staff its 'i can do what i want so f*** you' attitude from some of the players.
What you (and a few others) dont seem to understand (and a few of the more experienced players have wisely pointed out) is that you arent on an equal footing here!
We are staff. You are players.
If you are deserving of it then we put in our time and effort
completely voluntarily and free to maintain the forums, run events, and help you guys out.
The flipside of this is that if you act like an asshole you get treated as one, and
you get punished for it.
YOU GUYS FORGET THAT I WAS A PLAYER AND THAT I KNOW THE WAY THIS WORKS. I HAVE *NEVER* AND WOULD *NEVER* EVEN THINK OF SPEAKING TO OBSIDIAN STAFF IN THE WAY WE HAVE SEEN OF LATE. WE DON'T PUT IN OUR FREE TIME TO BE ABUSED.
In life we all have do deal with the consequences of our actions and there is no reason why you should expect this place to be any different.
Seriously - a select few of you need to grow the f*** up and put an end to this, or there are going to be a few bannings in direct compliance with the rules. This is not a threat, it is a promise.
Oh, and don't think that if you get forum banned and you decide to try and blackmail us by threatening to leave the game entirely that we are going to care.
Im serious about this one - there are plenty of great players that I want to keep here - many of whom I don't necessarily see eye to eye with - but they are good players nonetheless. I would rather keep them than subject them and the staff to any more of this bullshit.
Remember - it is assholes that makes players leave the shard,
not staff removing them.
