Taste ID is needed to identify fffs. Dunno the min needed skill level, but with
80 You'll experience almost no fails. Try with lower skill and let us know. :p

The only thing Taste ID works on is FFF.

I don't think you can fish them up until you are at 80 skill, so I wouldn't worry about Taste ID yet....

Once you can fish up the FFF, taste ID will go up fast....honestly it doesn't even matter what your skill is.....Higher skill level takes less time to ID..thats all.

i know about the non stacking fish. they don't do anything. the funny thing is that if you cut them their steaks don't stack on other steaks. and if you cook em, the cooked ones won't stack either. don't sell the small fish, cook em and usem em or trash em - it's better than cooking one by one the steaks. Of course, if you have like 70 cooking, otherwise train it first. You can train taste id by tasting yourself, or so i've been told, never tried.

purrple fish don’t stack....

I think we are talking about different purple fish....the only thing that taste ID works on is FF....FF look like a cluster of small fish, not one large fish. Right now you are at 65? I think you can fish up blue, red, white, and yellow small fish clusters now...when your skill gets higher you can fish up small clusters of purple fish. When you single right click on a FF it will say “a forgetful fish…when you double click on it, you will automatically attempt to ID the fish…After you successfully ID the fish and single click on it, it will say “a forgetful fish of [some random skill ]

Or you can just train taste ID with a fish in ur inventory.

What I plan to do with the small fish is once I get myself a vendor I'm going to sell them in bags of 50 each, sell each bag for 500 gp, and toss the red and yellow fish once I'm done cooking them for gains. I'm hoping for my vendor to be placed near Covetous, for easy access to anyone who needs them. Then once I am good enough cooking and fishing for fff's I will sell a certain fff in bags of 2-5 on the vendor(varying prices).

It's just easier to all kinds of fish from a vendor rather than selling personally

Becuase in a few weeks, the vendor will have Stat fishes in bags of 5 and only 5, just makes it so much simpler for me. Then I plan to restock the vendor once every week(depends on how much I can play during the week)

I'm not sure...but I "think" that vendors only worked for about a week after they were fixed the first time....and they only worked then if jumped on one foot going backwards through a hoop on a high wire surrounded by pissed off vultures......good luck.
