I'm looking for 7 people to join a very very select guild. It's a council of people who will be voted in by the obsidian community to help decide on issues such as: standardized prices, laws and if any disputes come up they could be the ones to decide(sort of like a jury) but everyone gets to have their say on who will be in the jury. Atm I'm looking for a list of suitable candidates for the positions - if people would like to suggest someone please post saying who they are and if you want to say why go right ahead. You can nomiate more than one person, provided they haven't already been nominated. Note: These people may already be in other guilds - they are allowed to join using another one of their characters. I'm acting head of the council, and I need to be nomiated like anyone else to stay in the council. Good luck Edit: Just to make this point too - please do not nominate yourself, only nominate others. |

I'd like to nominate regiss, next to being knowledgable about many things he is also a hell of a nice guy who I think has good leadership qualities and will judge wisely and fairly |

This will work kind of like a senate?.........Aside from Duck as a voice for the reds...I think Ashes would be a good choice.....He knows what’s up with the shard and a lot of the players. I second the nomination for Regiss and Duo...both are great nominations....but I haven’t seen Duo in IRC for almost a month... |

Heheh, first of all, ty for kind words. Much appreciated. :) As for nominations, IMHO a bunch of ppl would be suitable for that. I'll just list the ones I know well enough to have a firm opinion about:
Drizzt here too, but simply don't know him that well):
what they are now through their own work and having fun along the way, they have a respectful view towards other players and their possesions and I find them trustworthy. Ofc this is just in my experience, heheh. As a suggestion, if some nominees has no will to become members of The Council of Seven or think they won't be in game enough to make a difference, I'd suggest they make it known, as to avoid misunderstandings in the future. No? |

LOL, I find this a little bit humorous, like Llama said, how are you guys going to enforce yourselves?? I mean, it's a good idea, but isn't that the job of the staff? lol. |

As I see it it's just another guild, however with a twist, couse it's members are voted upon by other players. Getting re-elections every few months might help, too. And those that vote and approach with a problem or a dispute to solve will hopefully listen to their opinion. It's just another RP element to the shard, imo. But it was Duck's idea in the first place, let's see what are his musings on this. |

Nah man, the way he's written it, he's talking about it being a Council over the "Obsidian Community" (in Duck's words) It'd be a good idea, just I don't see how you're gunna enforce yourselves without some sort of staff intervention, in which case, wouldn't it be easier for just the staff to do it? lol. |
