Fishing
Skill details:
- Fishing is the act of fighing up fish from the sea. This is a very popular "money making" skill on Obsdian mainly because of stat and forgetful fish.
- Forgetful fish will help you forget 10% of any skill. When you pull up the fish it is automatically set to forget a random skill. By double clicking the fish you will attempt to identify it using taste identification. Once identified it will be named "a Forgetful Fish of Alchemy" or whatever the skill is. When identifying be careful to go slow or you might accidentially eat the fish after identifying it
Skill usage:
To fish, simply
buy a fishing pole and goto any body of water. Double click on the fishing
pole and target the water. If you catch something other than fish you
will get a message like "you have fished an item".
Once you fish
some fish, use a knife on a fish or stack of fish in your pack to turn
the fish into raw fish fillets. Then using the cooking
skill, cook the fish on a fire to make them eatable. Specialty fish like
forgetful fish and stat fish just need to be cooked, do not fillet
them.
