You can try and download the .net framework and see if that fixes your problems.

Let me know if this helps.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

everything else is bullshit with the .net framework.. it works alot better in the windows xp environment..

i didnt get that delay
but with same version of .net installed on like.. non xp versions of windows.. it took several min.'s for obsidian to load.. it just dont handle the .net well it seems

if u have xp.. nm my statement..

I think we got her problem sorted out in IRC. It was a bit more complicated then an average install and the same issue could have easily come up in Win XP. It was a .Net issue, but it was not related to the instillation and was not OS specific.

I run win2000 on my machine. I have the 1.1 framework and the 2.0 beta... plus the microsoft SDK which I need for compiling stuff. I've yet to recieve any errors.

On an older win98 computer I used (at work) for Obsidian, Framework 1 didn't want to do right. I installed beta 2 and everything worked out fine or that one.

Count: It does not take long to start on win2k, but it does seem to take forever to start in Win98se.
