I don't know what happened but we have had over 1000 downloads of the Obsidian Shard Podcast Episode #3. To put this in perspective we had only 152 downloads of Episode #2...I dunno what the spike is from, but keep spreading the words guys!

We are continuing to work on the massive quest that we are planning on launching next month, however it might be delayed and start a week or two later. You see we have been given permission to include our Obsidian Installer CD in every bag they hand out to attendants at the 1000 man lan this upcoming month. What this means is we somehow have to find the time to duplicate, label and package over 1000 cds to have distrubuted. Pretty insane if you ask me and it may really increase our population.

holy shit.... thats too many people and the shard lags enough as it is.... We may need a server ugrade... THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END OR A NEW BEGGINING AS WE KNOW IT WE COULD ALL LAG TO DEATH OR ULTIMA ONLINE COMPANYS COULD SUE FOR HANDING OUT 1000 CDS im scared.... But on 2nd thought myabe obsidian will be huge now... But on another thought we would need way more staff... but then again..... How would people leave town if there is 500 people on the shard and 1/2 are pking? scary or is it good for the rest of us who already have characters or will they pass us up and be uber gods and own us all only time will tell......

that increase never happened.

any 10 year old can run a runuo shard.

it takes skills to keep a sphere server going. and this is btw the longest running free shard on the net afaik.
