You guys have likely noticed that Obsidian has been getting laggy alot lately and fortunately the lag has nothing to do with our internet link nor the Obsidian Server. In fact I have tracked down the complications to a faulty router that requires constant rebooting to keep the traffic flowing through smoothly.

I've managed to find a cheap work around, but this won't last for long and likely things will go back to how they were if not get worse. Good routers that handle network traffic like this are not easily affordable. Additionally Obsidian is 100% non-profit meaning any money I put into it for equipment I'll never get back.

Now you guys know I'm not one to ask for donations, but I'm not really in the situation where I can just go out and spend a few hundred dollars as if it's nothing. The monthly bandwidth bills choke me enough as is. Therefore if you would like to see Obsidian continue to flourish and get better It would be wise to donate something even if it's a measly $5 or $10.

100% of donations will go into improving Obsidian! If we get more donated then we need we'll use it to improve the server to handle more players without lag! This will likely be a faster processor. 2ghz apparently isn't enough at times.

Obsidian will stay up indefinately whether we recieve a million dollars donations or nothing. Then again with a million dollars in donations I think I'd have to change my profession real quick
