It seems that most of my spells will not work. It will say im lacking the required regs, but I have loads of each type. How can I get around this?

The spells disbaled or you just lack a regant.

Im talking about most spells I usually use like heal, cure, reactive armor etc. I have all the regs I need.

hmmm very strange have you tryed a different spell book?
Also if you have more than 1 spell book on you it does not let you do spells

I tried a different spell book, I only have one book in my pack and some spells work like poison.

Give this a try:

Find a spell that gives you trouble (sounds like cure isn't working for you), go to the mage shop and buy a new spell book and a cure spell.
Go to your house.
Put the 'unworking' spell book on the floor.
Add the cure spell to your new spell book and cast the spell a few times.
Put the new spell book on the floor and pick up the old one.
Cast cure again.

If that doesn't work then I'm sorry, but you've got some real issues with your spell book --> is it the one that you started the game with?

Well I probably wont be on the game anytime today but I can say that my current book is not the only one ive had. I started training mage a few weeks ago and up until a few days ago everything was working great. The first time it stopped working I paged a GM about it and by the time he showed up everything was working the way it should he said he didnt do anything. Now its doing the same stuff it was before. I'll try doing what you said in a few hours.

Talk to other mages in game they may be able to help you out.
Also inform a staff member ingame off your problem

Also try when it starts doing that moving the spellbook around in your pack. I think it has something to do with what happens when you open and close your spellbook it seems to lock up sometimes. I don't know if that is what's causing your particular problem, but the next time it happens if you move the spellbook you will know.

For what it's worth...

Let's say you have 2 spell books, both in your backpack. One has the Mark spell, and one does not. If you cast a spell from the book that DOES have it, it will still say "You do not have this spell in your spell book." To fix this, just throw the spell book which does NOT have the spell into the bank or another chest.

If you have 1 spell book with all the spells and you have all the regs and it says either
"You dont have enough regs to do this spell (Ns)"
"Your spell is not in the spell book"

Then your book is bugged

This comment "You dont have enough regs to do this spell (Ns)"
Will come up when you don't have the regs so check you have the regs on you

This comment "Your spell is not in the spell book"
Will come up if you have more than 1 spell book on you so check you only have 1

After checking a few times and still says it you/ your book is bugged so page a staff member.

well personally i have no problem casting with two spellbooks in my pack, the last book that was moved is the book it looks for when i go to cast, so if i have a book with weaken in it and one without weaken, as long as the one with weaken was the last one i moved, it will cast.

i havent done it in a while but thats definately how it was for me.

A few times ive clicked spells either in the book (words) or the picture and it just doesnt work. There doesnt seem to be a specific reason why it does this.

I think i just have to close the book remove the pictures and restart the game though.

Well.. I ended up throwing away my book and bought a new one. Everything seems to be working now. Hope this doesnt happen again. Thanks for all the help.
