Well ive been keeping up on the lastest headline on the news which is all about a little girl who has gone missing in portugal.
Madeleine was 3 (4 on saturday) and she had twin brother and sister who are 2.
Madeleine's mam and dad had put the kids in their hotel room while they went to eat in a nearby restaurant, as they say they were checking on the kids every 30 minutes, but when they went to check between 9.30-10pm the window was jammed open and the door left open, the news is that someone came in through the window and left through the door taking madeleine with them. Who ever this was left all valubles and left the 2 twins.
I want to know what people think about this sad story and what people think of these parents who I would think would of been wise enough NEVER to leave young children unattended especally in a strange country on holiday, these parents are both doctors and imo dont deserve to have kids if they can leave them like this.
Where i live in the uk there is a pub opposite my house and if me and alan were to leave abby alone in te house and go for a quick drink in the pub and social services found out about this there would be hell to pay and no doubt abby would be taken from us.
I just cant belive parents can leave there kids alone like this and think that its ok. So guys what do you think about all this and what do you think should happen with there other children? Should they be taken from the parents and be given to a family who deserve kids and will look after them 110%?

I have to agree. My oldest is 8 an I won't leave her alone at home never mind in some strange country. When she goes outside to play with her friends she is only allowed to play where i can see her. In canada the parents would have been brought up on charges of negligence. Which if the girl dies could mean a stiff jail sentence. And i think they deserve that. That is just disgusting.

as soon as i could walk and work a VCR I was left by myself....this was at like age 3 or 4 i started watching my two youngest brothers by myself when i was 7 they would have been 1 and 4

The reward is 2 million is anyone finds her, i think shes prob been sold on to families who dont have kids, or sold as a slave that happens alot in spain etc , most of all in thailand.

do you just sit around and come up with this stuff? as a kid I was left alone all the time, but i grew up in the back woods of Washington and there was 5 of us idk they shouldn't have left their kids alone for a bit in a strange country that was just stupid

Probably some trafficking case if you ask me. Happens alot maybe more to the eastern countries and we often don´t hear about it either cause its no "interesting" news for us or because no one even cares about these kids enough to report them missing. Sad case nonetheless, hope they find her but i doubt it sadly.

Read it and it sounds pretty bad. I mean not just that the fact that there are sick people in this world, but the fact that the parents could have let this happen. I dont even believe the parents should even be angry at the man who stole the child, and shouldnt really go crying to the police. Really, who lets their kids un-attendent at a strange hotel, in the middle of a country they have never been to. Could have gone to a simple McDonalds and ate there, maybe would have made the kid happy, and still be with them at this very moment.

They have searched afew property and looking at "evidence" but because of laws in Portugal they cant tell the press much info
All ppl can do i prey Madeleine is safe and well and found soon.
