ok, so I downloaded/installed obsidian and it worked fine. I made my accont. and checked the email, not sure if I was supposed to see a activion key or something like most acconts.

So I launched obsidian and I click on, check for new patches and launch.

and I got this error message


Error downloading patch for 303.exe, please try again.

I try a few times and same thing.

What is going on, plz help.

try re installing obsi
don't forget to delete everything having to do with obsi b4 hand though, then instal obsi reset comp then go and try it out, windows has a nasty habbit of fookin sucking when you don't restart it after you do anything

I had the EXACT same problem. My solution was this:
1) Uninstall obsidian
2) Restart computer
3) Turn off ANY and ALL firewalls, norton antivirus, etc.
4) Reinstall Obsidian
5) Start up obsidian and pray for the best

You might try that, short of that regiss could probably help ya, as he was the one that helped me.

ok after downloading the patches from the internet. it now says this

error downloading patch for 305-0.exe

can anyone link me this patch plz.

There's no magic solution for that crap, just make sure to have updated
.NET Framework and anything that might interfere with patching turned off
(av, firewall, any security shit). Reinstall obsi/restart pc couple times just
to make sure it ain't screwing up on install. And I seem to have older 305-0
patch in that zip. :/

had the same problem but thanks to regiss i am ok now.it is probably caused by .NET framework.google ".net update" and download version 2.0, after that reinstall obsidian and it will work.

Im going through the same thing lol, i had to do a system restore to sort of some stuff , like wipe of everything now when i come back to install obsidian im gettin
