I would like to inform everyone that Obsidian will be going through routine maintenance on Sunday, December 23rd. What this means is there will be a NPC wipe along with removal of decayed houses. Please take this week to shrink your important animals and clean out any homes that no longer have signs.
On a side note, Obsidian is mere weeks away from our 8th Anniversary. Yes it's hard to believe, but the shard has been online and functioning since early 2000! Celebrations are likely along with some possible surprises, so look forward to it!
I would like to put a request out for some people to help us in our latest venture. Along with our standard news, I want to start offering community news on the main website. Anyone with a knack for writing and would would like to report on the in-game happenings of Obsidian please step forward by responding to this news post.

while your here make echo like super admin or something he needs it because he is most active by about 400% and it takes him 4 months to unbann some people when they shoulda been banned far less
(he has to wait for CV)

i know what would probably make that a bit easier is to not get banned in the first place probably just a thought.

well not that easy when u get baned because your friend was refreshing your houses while you couldnt log on and staff saw it as multiacounting..

yeah congrats on 8 years bb i still remember the article in a pc gaming mag on obsidian. it was a short line saying how it was a cool free shard for uo and a url. they used to have this section that gave cool links to mods and other stuff like that. pretty sure it was either pc gamer or comp gaming world my memory is bad.
yeah dario thats unfortunate, what i did was i told hydro what account i was going to be refreshing and got it oked so long as i didnt stay on any longer than it took to refresh, of course when echo started bustin heads on multi accounts i said screw everyone else i wasnt going to risk being banned so i didnt refresh anyone anymore.
when i was still pretty new i was banned accidently by a staff friend who was new and messing around with commands and banned me, i wanted to cry. he imed bb and asked him to help, few hours later bb unbanned me.
when bb was active this shard didnt miss a beat it was the most badass shard ever. you newer guys should have been here it really was worth paying a monthly fee for it was that good. i think if bb is going to be around more often he should let us donate again.
