The email server got rebooted and started sending out a metric butt-ton of emails it was apparently hoarding, and we're still looking into why and what all is going there. Fixed a few small routing errors as well.

Anyone at g-mail or ISP emails should be fine.
Yahoo and hotmail should now be receiving messages, hotmail check your spam folder.
If you requested a new account in the past month or two and never got an email, check in the next day or two.
If you requested a password in the past month or two, check your email, and request again if not there by tomorrow.

We'll be tweaking things throughout the week to try to bring everything back to normal.

Except normal administration and patching to resume in febuary.

Yeesh, I was wondering why the rollback happened... but thats nice to hear!
Hopefully this brings in some newer players and cleans up the help forum a bit

im trying to help 2 friends here to get accounts and start of with the game. but not working that well. Always get unable to connect to obsidianshard.com when mng account somehow, same goes trying to connect to homepage via that adress. only works via dxgaming.com/obs.. still get response when pinging obsidianshard.com tho.

i have no problem getting access through www.obsidianshard.com

my only problem was not getting an email when i made a new account, good to hear you've looked into this GMBob

The problem is gonan continue for abit. I think its because the server is gonna be done for awhile then the net of obs goes down with it. Im having the same connecting errors as you Ambient.

i used a "unused" email & is on a computer without a "used" ip adress. Trying to create an account for MysteriousMe here on forum. As she allready tryed to create account with 2 different emails without succees. What i got now was that error msg, but trying again it says my ip is allready used. Not sure if email works to use again :s and i dont think i need to mention the bit that its annoying and she rly wanna try the game anytime soon. oh well i did

wow! Its not like Broadband and Bob havent been trying to fix the registration crap, they are doing what they can to fix it. But if it were me, I would tell you all to do it yourselves if you think that you are capable of doing a better job.

just about ALL the major bugs have been fixed, albeit not the fastest possible but geezus, be a LITTLE grateful. Bob and BB have been trying to get this to work and kudos to them for putting in so much work on it lately. Thanks for the update bob!

Havnt said anything about not being grateful about bug fixing / updates. idk if its my lack of english but i understood it like the registration part was fixed from reading topic main post. Or that email's would be "released" and sent. Thought it was strange that I didnt got it to work with that

Ah what i said was addressed to sinspawnvip not you Ambient - your post was informative not badmouthing like sin's posts have been lately.

As I Ambient, Sins post about the house sweep and how staff say alot of things and never do it got my hackles up- it seems that he hasnt noticed all the hard work these guys put into bug fixes and updates... and how they are still putting their best into it.
