Alright. Here's the update on the bug.

First off, lets all congratulate broadband. As of when the bug first occured, which was 12:33 AM server time, on febuary 22nd, 2008, the obsidian shard has had, 6.809 years (which is 2485.513 days, or 59652.32 minutes) of operation. The shard originally left beta in March of 2000, so that means in the 8 years today of operation, we have only had 1.2 years of time the shard wasn't counted as running. over half of those were the first two years of operations due to various world errors, and most people here recall the one, unfortunate, 3 month rollback, due to a few very malacious players. That being said, outside of the first rollbacks/downtime comming out of beta and that one big block, obsidian has only had 6 months of downtime+rollbacks in the last 6 years of it's life. Which isn't great, but it is pretty damn impressive. Broadband deserves a congratulations for that.

Now, as to why this little history lesson matters. Unfortunately, the shard time maxes out at 6.809 years. Time stopped moving because there was no more time to move. We have currently worked out a solution to the problem, but it will take a little time to implement, to make sure there are no unfortunate side affects.

So, for the meantime, here is what has happened:

The shard has gone back in time 2 months. This is a temporary measure until we can implement the planned patch. The world hasn't, just the shard. That means all player characters will be approximately 2 months younger than they should be, but all items should be as normal. When we implement our fix, we will restore the player characters to their proper age.

So please resume playing as normal. The next patch should fix the bug for good as well as provide a few other things we've been working on throughout the month.

According to GMBob all items should be as normal. However, mine are gone, specially the ones I had in my pack, even my noobied full spell book. Can GMbob or other staff member explain me why my pack is empty? I mean even if i died my spellbook should had stayed in my pack. I dont care much about the other items but I do really care about the spellbook. So, at least I'm hoping to get it back, or who can I Pm in game to get it?
