I went through the RC to hind meadow, when I log in my warrior moves about 4 steps and freezes up. I cant .help to go back the the RC or even ask for a gm to help.

Anyway to fix this or I must wait for a GM to come un-freeze my Ass :?:

No, happens to me all the time, to many items in the region.

Just keep logging on and walking as far away as u can from that spot (across the bridge)

Eventually you will be un-stuck

Would it be possible then to get some of those items removed?

It's actually really simple for them to fix without having to remove anything, they can make it lagless if they wanted to, and probably will do if we bitch enough :P

Or I'll just reban you :P

I doubt the items will be removed Belg - but hopefully we can add the place in as part of the world file so the crashing issue isn't a problem anymore. I'll mention it to bob right now.

Could just add it to the mulfiles, so it appears to be there but really isn't, having the server read it more easily instead of the individual items thus making it lag-free.

Hahaha...hearing you say that brought back memories of when I tried to patch my entire world file into the mul files through the verdata....fun times....I made everything static and my hobby server became the digital equivalent of a boat anchor.

Anyway, BB could probably do it, but he has always seamed reluctant to give client patches.

Haha, first time I patched a new city I created I forgot to use my original mulfiles and after I patched it deleted every single building/tree/bridge, etc in the world and left me only with the city that I built. Luckily I kept backup files of all my mulfiles :P

Yeah, that is one unfortunate side effect of the current client, it gets overloaded REALLY easily.

Unfortunately the next client-side patch isn't due out till at LEAST january, probably febuary. But in that we'll hopefully address the few bugs that got done with the original installer, incorporate more areas into the permanent world, and do some other minor updates.

The reason this is waiting is that while it would be nice, it's not integral to people playing right now. So we're trying to fix the balance and other bugs that affect playing as a whole, then we'll polish off all the minor difficulties. :)

On that note i think we've made wondeful headway on that first set, so we are getting to the more minor stuff now. Crafting might make it before the new year, no promises.

And what is beig done with crafting? Is it going back to regular gains or will it still be gains based on difficulty?
