Anybody know why it says

Your skill in Parrying has decreased by .1
Your skill in Healing has decreased by .1
Your skill in Mace Fighting has decreased by .1


OK so it does that for every Useful skill I have....
In the same huge list I get these...

Your skill in tracking has Increased by .1
Your skill in Arms Lore has Increased by .1
Your skill in (uselesstome) has Increased by .1


ect.. every useless skill it says I gain .1 and every skill I use and is high says it decreases by .1


Is it really doin that?

actually something like that just happen to me today, i login with my warrior and lost -1 in all stat, my stats was 160 str 120 dex 10 int, thats 290 total , maybe im worng but i thought that the stats cap was 295

You've hit the skill cap. Human skill cap is 680.0. Anything over that in skills and all skills will drop. It might say it's gaining but it isn't.
And the stat cap is 290, Iori.

if stat cap was 290 then i was at top , then why i lost -1 ?

You prolly gained a int last time you were on and not realised.

Ok yeah I'm going to have to change my input on this magery gain thing again.

Basically...

6th level spells ARE still telling me (yet not every time I cast) that they are too easy to gain any skill. I still can't cast level 7 spells.

Also, even if I WAS gaining skill by say casting invis, explo, and energy bolt constantly... at their high mana cost I get maybe 5 tries in this circle before having to wait on my mana to come back so yeah, this could make it "ludicrously" slow skill gain at my skill level.

Perhaps you could increase the range a bit... I know you don't want us all just standing around shooting ourselves with Magic Missile, but damn.. let me gain casting lightning or SOMETHING lol

i havent train full magery this days but i feel that still need some improve, specially in the gain area

my problem is with resist more than anything. i used to be able to go to fire shrine and gian .5 gains every hour to 2 hours, using tempest analogy...im at 69 now, i need 310 gains. it would take me 62 hours to gm..that is about right.makes sense to me..that was old system. i have been playing alot since the big crash of '08 and i have got 2 gains since then..ive been to all the shrines a ton. and the worst part is ive gotten i ton of int gains ..even when im not using or fighting anything with magic..and yes im gm in all fighting skills. on a brighter note i think alchemy gains are perfect.

As a side note... about 1k bandages and a couple of months later I'm starting to wonder... Will I ever get another healing gain? lol

July 16, 2015. That is my prediction.

I decided to try training anatomy and holy crap in the time it took me to get from 60 - 70 anat i got 60 int gains.

Whether or not it is the same as b4, That is a bit excessive.

It's not the same as it was before....not at all. I did the same thing. I figured I could just fix the stats after I GMed anatomy...well..I gained close to 60 int and lost a crapload of dex and str. At this point it would be (almost) as easy to build stats from scratch on a new character then it will be to fix what happened....

The insane stat gains along with a decapitated PvP system and constant patch delays has dug the hole for obsidian.
