Well somtimes when you eat fff it only drops the skill by like 3.8 and leaves 0.8 skill left instead of getting rid of it all happend to me like 2 times and happened to my friend like 4 times when i was giving him fff.

Edit: On Top of that all the skills that were droped return back to normal they arnt perma there temporary.
