I know what rune i was jailed for, and that was a GM in fact i think it was blinkers that brought us there and when i asked him igf i could mark there he said yes. But that is fine that it is gone but i sure as hell hope if i can't have that one that all of the ones to that island in the river near minoc mines are gone too. Someone kept stashing stangs and oytras on ther b4 and i believe there was a house there at one point.

I always thought that obtaining a rune to a rare island was kind of a right of passage as you became more acquainted with the shard and it's players. When I first started out at Obsidian Duo said that some day he will sell me runes to some rare islands, but by the time he thought I could be trusted with the rare runes, I had already got them myself...and then some...and I was proud of it.

my point is, if access to some of the rare islands and places are now illegal then that would take away a LOT from the game.

As for that island up by minoc...ashes bought that from me years ago, and I bought it from......I forgot who.....I know ashes was using it to store "things" for a long time, but I have not been there for a year or two, so I don't know whats there now.

I was up there....nothing is there. Pretty barren and nothing special at all.

Geeze guys way to jump to conclusions.

If you have a rune to a rare island good work - they're not illegal.

Main ones that people were put in jail for were: begger island, new t2a elven town, sherwood, fire dungeon and a few other places that players should not be able to get to.

The only way people obtained these runes was through a bug or taking advantage of a situation (afk staff member or some such). I'm well aware people were allowed to mark at some stages on begger island so I'm not really punishing people at all. Just catch and release. If you're in jail - page and stay logged in. I'll come find you.

ok well I remember a time back oh probably 2-3 years ago me and Ogre were out wandering around on one of Echos quests and happened across a whole "new" land.... we paged Echo who immediately closed it off again but what if someone finds it and doesn't think oh I shouldn't be here? (main tip off was there were no spawns) or oh a new area cool! and marks it? that doesn't seem like something you should be punished for.....like momma always said "if the game lets you do it then its not cheating"
