In all of my time here there has only been one that i have absolutely no doubt abused his powers and he has had his staff account revoked anyway. There may have been more, but that is the only one i saw with my own eyes.

Mistakes are made when you have more power than you can actually handle.

This doesnt apply to staff in general. Just saying that some people cannot handle have a staff account
because the power that comes with that privelage is abused occasionally.

Honest mistake that can happen to the best of people.

Yes, precisely Did I mean to kill you all by dropping a chain lightning with 30,000 int? Of course not, I simply clicked the wrong button, and res'd/apologised/restored fame etc. I was sposed to cast regular lightning on a player that was being rude lol.

Actually, most players saw the funny side. After all I spent years as a player - I wouldn't be mad if my character died in town and I got res'd 30 seconds later. I'd LOL.

Did I do it for personal gain or to intentionally grief the players? Of course not. And I like to think the hundreds of hours I've invested in all three staffing tiers (plus the forums) would attest to that.

As before, this is about serious allegations of staff abuse/cheating. Keep it to private forum PM for the benefit of everyone. And make sure any allegations have some substance to them beyond hear'say. That's all we're asking.

Unfortunately there have been more than that. I've seen at least 3-4 since I became staff. But this is because we tend to spot it before the players do, lol. Some of the staff you might have simply presumed 'inactive' have actually been banned for one reason or another over the years. We take staff behaviour and account security extremely seriously.

This is why it's important to PM us if you do spot anything unusual; it helps us gather evidence in what is often already an existing investigation.
