Uh...WCW, also known as the NWA from when I was a kid, was started in Atlanta Georgia, so how could you say no one watches it? Vince McMahon got his start in Charlotte also. Guys like Gorgeous George, Bruno SanMartino and the Von Erichs made wrestling popular, but guys like Hogan and Flair made it mainstream.

As far as these older wreslters from other countries goes - Nikolai Koloff is actually from Wilkes County NC. Lex Luger was from High Point. There was this one guy that had the iron claw as his finishing move - he's from not far from where I live.

I still remember being 7 years old and seeing Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair riding into the basement parking garage of the Greensboro Coliseum in an old red Ford pickup.

Ye wrestling isnt as popular as it used to be, thats for sure. Boxing still grosses mostly in UK, but MMA is gaining popularity real fast.

man i loved wrestling when i was younger, i know way too much about the old school guys lol. actually watched this past royal rumble for kicks and even though it is pretty stupid now they still have some entertainment value some really cool moves and some of them are funny as shit. also i notice a lot of the older wrestlers kids and even some of their grandkids ffs.

but if you looking for a fight to watch man mma is the shit no doubt. just wish ufc would stop letting their judges cheat so much in the decisions. fedor ftw
