I'll be trying it out from work at lunchtime today, as it's browser-based.

I've never been real good at strategy games. I tried the R.U.S.E. beta and it was pretty cool.. had great graphics and was pretty addictive, but I couldn't get the hang of it and was lousy at playing it.

Back in the day I used to play a lot of Heroes of Might & Magic 1 and 2.

It's a turn-based MMORPG with a turn-based battle system a bit like final fantasy. But it's also alot more strategic because the different classes attack in different ways (eg vertically or horizontally) where you have your party in a 3x3 system. As you progress through the game you get the ability to gain additional party members upto 3x3 which is 'endgame'.

You feel lost when you first start, figuring out where to buy/sell equipment etc but you get the hang of the learning curve eventually. It's strangely addictive and I was playing it non-stop but (like most things with my short attention span) I stopped as suddenly as I started.

Worth checking out.
