What do you guys think about starting new chars with all these "junk skills"?
I understand FFF are a big part of the economy, and sure... if we are truly role-playing then every new character generally starts with things that may not be beneficial for a players campaign or quest... but hear me out.
I recently started a tamer and was kinda irked that I really wasn't that far from my stat cap just BEGINNING. I'll maybe GM 2 skills before I over-cap? That seems pretty excessive. While some other shards allow you to begin a character with ONLY the skills you chose, perhaps Obsidian could find a middle ground. Meaning basically that instead of generating say 200+ points of random skills, only generate say 100+ ?

Yes but then wots the point in fff? what I do think they should do is if u have a character that cant gm a skill like necros cant gm healign only can get 50.
They should be able to lock the skills so that they didnt gain more healing

I really think that starting out less than 100 points away from skill cap kinda sux bcuz as a new player I am trying to figure out how to play and what to do and save money for what i really need like better armor a house and now i will have to spend all my money on FFF instead... It just seems like I have to buy them pretty early instead of something I should look into after I have gmed a skill or close to gm on one. Not that I dont want to buy them I just figured that was something you need a long time from now. Not a week after I start playing...

you cna gm skills before you need to use unless you are training like 10 things at once. I didnt eat any fff on my new char and i have 2 things gm and 3 things above 50
