i think its a bad idea, humans are not overpowered. and it would be f****** stupid if you ask me to make people that have had chars for like the past 10 years that were human to suddenly have to get their healing put at a ridiculously low level because their a tank or a mage. and dedo is correct there has to be a reason to be human. taking a race is supposed to handicap you in some way. like bob pointed out in a older post people got laughed at for making human warriors before since they lost 100 skill points and had no race abilities.

as far as i can tell most people would agree races and classes just need a bit of tweaking with skill caps and then it would be a lot better. fix the simple shit before you go and screw up something thats harder to fix. you have failed to put forth that. instead you want to rework a race who has been perfect (not needing anywork) since day 1. that to me is stupid.

or a better idea erase the ranger class .... that way warriors can do 100% bow n melee damage...cuz whats the point of a ranger class?? you get no benefits... you have to use a two handed wep to do significant amounts of damage n since thats lowered why use a weapon if rangers should be built geared towards avoiding a close battle + thats a extra skill thats almost useless to have.

Rangers should do more bow damage or other benefits (like shooting while in motion if you are gm tactics n archery n anatomy).......if gm taming n archery in a ranger class you unlock the ability to tame a nightmare n spawn nightmares during a certain season etc.

low healing.. i thought i just said that "healing" could be one of the possible things humans excelled in..

besides.. u are refering to racial mage "class" not being equal to warriors or rangers on the basis of their shitty healing?
this is like i have already mentioned.. a CLASS issue.. not a race issue

balancing classes are simple.. say a mage class is gimped in healing.. tweak it
warrrios do do much dmg.. tweak it.. this is simple problems that can be altered.. and it would be very simple to balance out all classes on this game...


humans are the problem because they do not have classes... hence throw a monkey wrench in the process of balancing out the classes

what would be different about this than me having to rebuild my vampire because things have changed.. nothing...
anyone that would quit would be a lil sissy ass ne ways... unfortunatly the majority of the the small population fit into that catagory tho....

its just a suggestion.. i could give a shit less either way..
imma own some face in black ops...

yes and those of us who made race chars years ago thought it was stupid that we had to pick a class as well :roll: however we all have the option of being Human this is what makes it balanced now. Before only those of us who made accounts years and years ago had race characters and those characters had no limitations... now we all do its all a balanced playing field find something that works for you and use it for a long while to figure it out. You can't really make a good judgment on using a race char for like a week.

I think humans are fine the way they are, i think it is races that need to be changed. Some need to have their abilities changed to make them atleast match others in terms of usefulness. And some need their abilities toned down a bit. For example pretty much all of the abilities for wood elves are pretty much useless, except for maybe being abl to summon an animal rather easy. Being able to change into an animal might be useful if you could mirror that animals skills and attributes but so far all it gives you i the passing amusement of running around looking like an animal. Ice elf attributes are strictly geared to pvp which sort of defeats the old cookie cutter pvp char arguement. And from what i read about vamps although it sounds kind of cool and all seems way too complicated for what it is worth. Ranger class is garbage in my opinion. Completely useless. But that seems to be the way things are going lately realism takes precidence over everything even though the game suffers for it.

bind trees is probably the most useful woodelf ability nice to make a quick getaway. but other then that I haven't used the other skills very much, the warlock ones just confuse me other then the one that allows you to find resources which is useful maybe spread those skills back out over the other races like it used to be though, ie let warlocks find reagents and woodelfs find food...

warlocks race skills are utterly useless....

total recall should work like "Recall" does.. a racial ability to recall with no runes or regs required...
slot of 5 locations.. timer like visit sanctuary... and a fair delay but not a extremely huge one..

id suggest completely doing away with the regent/food/ect. search... and replace it with something that is useful.
I would also implement a passive ability would lower med fail rates on warlocks (or have them med slightly more mana than any other race)
these things would go along way to balance the warlock race.

even tho it is strongly outvoted atm by the majority.. here is a list of some possible human racial abilities
-Natural Healer (passive ability - lower fail rate on healing or require less bandages to heal)
-Barter: Lasts 90 seconds, Upon success recieve a 25% discount on vendor purchases (3 hour reset delay)
-Jack of all Trades: lasts 5 min, all crafting requires 50% resources (can only be used once a day)
-Karma (passive ability) if karma is +#### char takes less dmg if karma is -#### char deals more dmg
unsure of the numbers.. but i am reffering to max karma and min karma... low as it goes and high as it
goes..

I think that would make a pretty sold race for humans... do that give them classes then have bob work on balancing all classes for pvp (ex. warrior/ranger vs. mage)

also on classes make war mages the new tank class humans used to be.. de-gimp them some and make them more usefull

if all this was implemented.. ud have all classes having their own restrictions in class and their own benefits that would go along with their race

to me its a no briner solution for a plaguing problem
if you look past your own personal gain... or whatever and think of how the shard would function better.. i think you all would see that..

new players recruited to the shard would find the system very entertaining... and it would give the game a lot more of an RPG feel.. at some point the ppl here squandering over rares and secrets to diff class builds are going to have to realize that you currently have a hand full of ppl that play the game... and it snot you that matters at all... its the next generation.. without that.. obs will die..

i do think upgrades need to be made to racial abilities...mainly warlocks and wood elfs...I was thinking like no delay when un shrinking pets....etc but maybe we should make a new thread about that since the majority is against making humans a race...
