I spoke to others and they all say damage is too low on melee. The weapon can say 1-39, and yet ull only hit 28. I have not seen one hit over 30 even with weapons claiming to hit up to 45. Its a bit silly in my opinion. I think damage should be adjusted to higher.

Agreed. Say I have a weap that's dmg is between 15-35. I will consistently hit waaaaaaay more sub 15 dmg hits than above.

I think weapon melee should have a bonus attached to their damage when you are gm (weapon mastery), gm Anatomy, and gm tactics and I think you should hit towards the top of the weapon damage range more often depending on your skills etc...might be hard to script though I wouldn't know. Hitting below 30 on average sucks especially when you Gmed a mastery and tactics and have 150+ str.... You are always healing and even the weaker monsters can be problematic.
People may say it will affect pvp well it might unless you can script it so that the bonus damage only occurs to npcs etc....again I don't know how just my suggestion.
I am always hitting around -15 towards -28.....We want to see -35 and up.

ya screw armor! let weps hit full damage!
PvP wise wep damage is high imo.. nooo need for it to be any higher..
pvm.. i dunno buut solution would be to lower AR of monsters NOT raise damage on weps
+++ what types of weps are u using?
maces and swords hit mids usually givin more to the mace which is slower and hits a bit higher
and fencing hits super low and super high.. (not sure if fencing was changed) but they tended to just hit really high consitantly... specially with high str and a nice 5/7
edit- thats just my opinion....

Chips, ive used big weapons like halberds as well, that claim to up to 47 and after a whole hour of killing weak monsters at the invasion, I hit 41 once. Maybe 1/9 hits I would hit like 31, usually between 21-28.
This is also the case when I tried with cows and animals I found everywhere, So i dont think its necessarily the armor count that is keeping the hits low.

Yah.. I agree
I dont barly get any good hits during pvp or pvm.
All these weps are saying they can hit -45s and i never see it

Must just be you guys... my swords is at 9?.? and i hit around 30's-40's with my halbred all the time, I find when i hit low.. its always 1-9, and I do hit low a lot, but not enough to say its bugged.

Chips I do agree lower the AR for npcs it might do the trick but If that happens I want to see hits towards the top of the damage range. I admit though I been using the same weapons to hunt til they break which they never do but I have repaired them once and yielded the same results...usual hits are towards the lower end of the damage scale...and below it.

I do agree with this somewhat except to say that pvp mages have taken enough of a kick to the balls lately and if melee damage is raised other things such as ra and fizzle rate etc have to be tweaked to balance it out.

never knew why it was tweaked in the first place...I loved RA back in the days. Also loved to hunt on my warrior and take down huge beasts.

Yeah man I miss this, even when it was just taking my warrior to destard for some dragon hunting!
Also I agree with most of the comments here in principle... Lowering the AR of NPCs or another alternative to increase the effectiveness of a warrior for PvM (without effecting PvP is possible).
