 Post subject: Tinkering skill

im trying to gm tinkering and ive got to 70.1 and i have not gotten a new thing since 60 and that was a key or bead that you really cant gain hardly at all off of and i havent gotten anything to make with wood since 56. maybe we could get this looked at so there are more even things to gain on...im hardly getting anything off these barrels anymore.

I gmd it from 0 to 100.0 with even less things before he added more. You can make neckless's that take 1 ignot. It got me from like 65 to 92. Than i made metal chests till gm which took thousands and thousands of ignots to hit gm from 92.

doesnt seem like i gain hardly anything when i make necklaces or any jewelry....and i take it i need musicianship if i want to make instruments?
i just used 396 wood to make barrels that are 12 logs each and 56 difficulty, then i used 396 iron to make necklaces that are 1 iron each and 61 difficulty.....i got 3 gains from barrels and 1 gain from necklaces...im at 72 tink now too. seems a little off

That's because blacktorn gm'd it back when it was broke(gain per item independent of resources) and necklaces were fubar(resources required way out of wack) from the t3a-t4a move. He's lucky i didn't drop him for not reporting it till well AFTER he had skillup'd on it.

Tinkering will get more when it get it's crafting overhaul, be patient.
It's on the list.

Oh i didnt even know it was fubured. I figured it went based off of level of item you were making, not off how many resources used. or maybe im just confused and its still based off of that. Anyways only thing i know is that from 92 to 100 i used well over 50k ignots on those metal chests so that should be more than enough to compensate.

well im at 75 tink now and i can make metal chests, which should be good to get close to gm if i can ever figure out how to make boards. but im not sure if this is wrong or not but the skills used to make the better woods are out of wack too. shard down right now but, i beleive it was 111 skill to make a blood rock metal chest, 108 for black, 99 i think was valo. saying this becuase im going to train on some of these and they may be too high a skill than you wanted and i may gain faster(not sure yet of course) than i am supposed to gain.

No, you're fine.
It's impossible to cheat the current system, since it takes into affect what materials, and how high a skill it is for crafting. The resource replacement is actually an excellent way to levelup due to boosting item skill level requirements
