i been wondering
whats obs lacking
and i realised we dont have any recreation in game fer our battle hardened warriors

i have an idea
and here it goes

GUILD PYRAMIDS
thats right guild pyramids
every week or so
guilds send out their finest to do battle for the glory of the guild
to be fair to the smaller guilds (BoM comes to mind)
there will be stipulations

maximum str dex and int each team can have
maximum number of skill points etc
maximum number of regs
maximum number of healing (pots and bandies), other pots
type of weapons and armor allowed
number of arrows allowed
and what types of spells, pets/summons allowed
max and min number of players allowed

and the point to all this?
a league of course
a ranking system in which the best guild weekly gets cash and a trophy proclaiming them champs of obs for a week
till some other guild tries to claim the trophy for their own
even better with GM help we may even get fame from winning battles

This whole exercise is to inspire guild loyalty and in turn loyalty to obs even when things get shitty.
and to prevent strong guilds from winning day in and day out (LoV comes to mind)
the above stipulations were created in hope that there will be a level playing field for guilds with lots of newbs and weak characters to compete with the more powerful ones.

What do you guys think?

And of course this adds some element of pvp in a controlled setting on a regular basis.

I think it's a great idea and should definitely be a regular part of Obsidian.

uhmmmm if its gonna be a guild pyramid shouldnt their best use what they have that is their best stuff spells so on and so forth and i can guarentee u LoV wouldnt win every week for this reason alone... most of the guild if they r going to chose their best will even the playing field.... so yeah.... so y restrict that stuff

well
we can limit the best armor worn and the guilds that dont have it can suck gravel
like say max armor of aga
and best weapon will be of force and below

and by spell limits
i mean gay stuff like invis in combat
or summons
or the use of walls to hide in one corner and wait fer people to kill themselves
oh and 'zerk should be banned
im all for poison to be allowed
after all if you cant heal it its yur own business
polying is something that i feel should be allowed

there should be an event for crafters

How about speed fishing

i dig the idea and would love to see it indtorduced

and the whole point impe is to make it fun for everyone and to make it challenging even for the l33t players on the shard. if you want to stay on top better make sure your pvp skills are the best. Thats the whole point in the end aint it

Thats a sweet idea. Just not to have limitation on stats.. and on number of pots and arrows.. :p

what about also restricting the people who can participate each week as well, its no fun having the same vets slaughter the competition evry week. perhaps make them not able to play the next week? or something similar... i like the idea!
