ok... it seems people have forgoten the basics so here it is... again:
You will find in this post, a reminder on general rules, a reminder on paging rules and a few general hints.

2. No Reskilling - AKA Ressurection Killing. If a player dies and ressurects at a res ankh, you are not allowed to kill them again until they do one of five things:
A. Purposfully initiate a hostile action against you. For example if they still are in war mode from rezing and accidently punch you while naked this is not a purposeful hostile action. Name calling does not count.
B. Assist others who are hostile to you. As in healing someone pking you.
C. After fully looting their body they follow you away from the scene of the initial kill and harrass you.
D. You are still looting the body and they try to recover loot from the body. Once you are done looting they are free to loot their body even if you are still standing there.
E. The player uses the -1 rez option to prevent you from looting their corpse. This is pretty much the same thing as D. You are preventing the murderer from getting your loot so they have the right to kill you again.
6. Do not PK players inside or around cove OR the britain graveyard.
11. PK'ing is legal on this shard, however there are many actions that are "frowned upon" by pks, and some that are illegal:
Frowned upon:
A. Killing Crafters
B. Killing Newbies
C. Using blue characters to circumvent the red pk restriction
D. Abusing features such as the rune chamber to otherwise cheaply PK someone
Illegal:
A. Using a bug to PK people
B. Abusing the blue bug to remain a Blue noncrim PK
C. Reskilling
D. PKing or Looting during an EVENT
12. Staff Members are not allowed to decorate for players and or adjust stats or skills, so please do not page them for this.
(and that includes making people blue)
20. GM's are not allowed to move a player (in the exception of being stuck) or resurrect them (with exception of dying in an area that is impossible to res in), or in any way aid them in aquiring corpses or lost loot of any kind, please do not page them for this.
21. Player names and titles are not to be changed for anyone, for any reason, except by a GM when it's necissary to change someone's name if deemed offensive
Ok.. that was about the rules... now... about some rule of contuct when paging
-Be as specific as possible
-NEVER page with the word f*** (and that includes WTF)
-NEVER page in caps
-NEVER page about something you can solve yourself (lost or dead examples comes to mind)
-Don't ask several different staff member the same question hoping that one will say what you want to hear, this is really insulting and tend to get us mad... and you don't want to be there when a staff memeber gets mad
-Don't page a specific staff memeber (unless he asked to)
-Don't page something that can be answered in the forums
-Don't page because you are lost (and yes, I get lots of thoses) get UOAM!
-Please dont use cool hip-hop lingo
Now, some higgledy-piggledy general hints:
About the Necro in town bug;
- You may not attack someone intown using any offencive necro spell since you are not flagged criminal for doing it
- You may not drain NPCs at anytime (like town criers or vendors, or any other NPC you know you can't fight)
doing thoses things will get you jailed, even if your target was your friend, and even if you were just playing.
About programs you should use:

as for screen capture I like SnagIt, efficient and customisable but a little heavy on low end machine (like mine)

Things you should do to avoind being PK'ed in cove or brit Grave yard:
(Understand that even though it's illegal to PK there it's a rule that is really hard to enforce so here are some tips to avoid this)
- Don't go there with anything better then normal armor and normal weapons (or anything else you don't to lose)
- Hunt in pack of frinds
- When you see a known PK'er run to a guarded area, don't look at them, don't talk to them just run
- Know that Killing your friend for fun is still illegal
Things to do when you see something illegal
1- Page
2- get several high quality screen shots
3- get as many witness as possible
