i spent a good amount of time fishing. fail fail fail fail fail fail fail.....catch one fish then the spot dies. i move on. some spots i catch a lot of fish. for every half hour or so i spend fishing i get 1 gain. am i doing something wrong? it is very very tedious and after an hour i just want to go to sleep. the ratio of poles i break to gains is 1:1.

perhaps i should dump fishing then. it would be hazardous to my health to go korean style just to gain 3% fishing per day playing nonstop

yep, i gave up fishing as soon as i found out about it.

eh, fishing has always been useful....but even when i get on my fisher its pointless
to train 6 hours for .5 gains, which is all i got. i dumped fishing a long time ago....if
it doesnt get tweaked or fixed with the crafting patch....then a lot of already GM
fishers will make a lot of money when old players and new ones start coming in =]

its not fair to people who choose to be self-reliant or cant afford to spend 100000000g on fish/pots because of the stat/skill system.

we've all discussed this issue and apparently he has the solution to it in the
crafting patch that still needs implemented, unless it already in?

o well, fishing has never been fun to gm, but now its really not worth it to train!

lets face it... some skills need to work like before.... doing the same thing again and again instand of doing hard stuff to gain...

heres what i have seen with fishing since the new transition. it seems that you do
not gain anymore with fish (regular fish do not give a gain worth shit). furthermore,
the only times i saw a true gain was when i fished a fish, quickly casted, and it either
turned into a small fish or a oyster, then a gain was reached!

also, in the old system small fishes were only fishable at 60.0 fishing, never at 50. the
only colors that seem to pop-up are mana and full health small fish, i have yet to see
white and blue fish =[ unless those are the small fish gained at 60?

o well, im not saying not to fish, but at this moment it seems hopeless =[ good luck
to those fishers starting out now, may the obsidian jesus be with you lol

What I don't understand is why he can't apply it now... It's not like he has to actually use the patcher to fix it.

this is also applying to mining as well. i whack whack whack whack whack....never find ore. after testing this one spot like 20 times i finally get a gem....then the spot is dead. and as far i can tell you dont get gains for failing. at least you gain in mining....but not finding ore because its buggy......well....

same happen with cooking and fishing, tailoring, and i can keep saying skills that need to get back to way there use to work in the pass

o well it doesnt matter how much we complain, bob is not going to put these
skills back to their old standing in t3a....hes made it very clear in other posts =[

maybe he DONT wanna put the skill back ti their old system.. but at least he need to know what players r saying that is something wrong with the system , if he dont care about it well thats another story

well i think that we all have made it clear what we like and dislike, some of them are
changed and fixed, and other ones Bob just doesnt seem to want to change. either
he doesnt see a need for it, or he gives us another option to look at for the new
skill....so either way, the old system is out, might as well just put it past us and how
the skills functioned in t3a =[
