As many of you noticed, Obsidian was down for several hours today for some upgrading and overall maintenance. GM Bob informed me that there has been considerable lag on the server for awhile, and in my opinion that is unacceptable.

Since yesterday the entire shard has been migrated to brand new hardware, a shiny new OS and also a new internet feed. My hopes are that this will resolve any issues you guys are having with lag.

Since putting the server back online and monitoring in-game chat, it sounds as things have been greatly improved if not fixed completely.

If you can do me a quick favor and after playing for a few hours vote on this thread on the improvements you see. Be honest and I hope it helps everyone!

Oh yes... this is what I've been waiting for. No lag in sight... I logged on today without reading this post and thought I was trippin balls cuz there was no lag, but it's true!

EDIT: There is no lag what-so-ever! I am able to move swiftly through the towns and
furthermore, attempting to train my crafting skills do no lag damage at all.

Even the damage I have read about W-pots and such do not cause anymore lag, seeing
as I witnessed quit a few W-pots being thrown in town earlier tonight.

Overall, the lag is gone and everything is going smoothly, congrats Broadband

Well this is an update on the lag situation on my part....

Today, earlier from this post, a few of us seemed to have lagged a small amount when
there was a large amount of grizzly bears and polar bears at Vesper bank. It wasn't a huge
spike, but it did cause me to bit small lag pouches where the bears were attacking.

Just a heads up on the lag situation

EDIT: An addition to this...the lag has not seemed to have gotten worse when there are
less players online....for some odd reason I started to hit more and more mini lag pouches
as the player base dropped. Yet, I played just fine when the player base was at 16 earlier
this evening, I know this seems strange...it also seems strange on my part

I'm still lagging buts prolly cause im using a wireless dongle which gets a signal from around 5 mile away and my computer is shit lmao but its improved since the maintanance
