Why? i have been taming and killing for the respawns now for 3 weeks. a week ago i realized i was red. At first i thought it was from killing cats(which said i killed an innocent), but i only killed maybe 3 or 4. When i started i was around 1000 karma, but last i checked i am the dastardly hook and i have -9102 karma.(it could be fame i am talking about, but cant log on to check)

whenever i kill an animal it says i gain karma, sooo not sure if its a bug or not. If it isnt a bug, it should be changed. It will take me FOREVER to go from -9100 to 0 with a tamer(not sure if even possible)

Fame affects lord status and that's about it - karma affects whether you're blue, grey or red. If you have -9102 karma then you are definitely red. Check your kill counts too - you shouldn't have any if you haven't been killing people with your animals.

As far as I'm aware cats and horses give negative karma when you kill them?

Butchering cats and dogs is kinda frowned upon in this society, why wouldn't it be frowned upon there?

well i have no kills and i havent killed anyone with animals. i have killed 3 or 4 cats and some dogs, and a bunch of horses. but i dont see that as a good enough reason to turn red, where you are thrown in jail everytime you enter a town. i think that is harsh and if i lost enough to get me to -9100 that is too much of a loss per animal. also i just went to grey but when i rc i go to red rc. i take it that is for criminals also?

If I remember correct, pigs used to be "innocent" as well.

Ya stay away from killing some birds, rabbits, and I think boars (not pigs). I could be mistaken on the boar
though. Always good to leave it alone just in case!

One llama also causes negative karma, too. So, don't kill that one.

ok horses i can understand but cats? who gives a flying f*** about cats? So when you clear a spawn you kill everything but the cats and then what al spawns will have 300 cats at them cuz people take the horses leave the cats and kill everything else.

Therefore, I recommend to put in a timer for a spawned cat to disappear after a certain amount of time unless it is tamed. That way the spawn point can be reset, allowing other another animal to spawn, without any poor innocent pussies getting killed.
