I started out as a vampire warrior about 5 months ago and things were quite new to me...I had a really cool friend named Smi Jing he taught me basics and interduced me to the game and yeh for about 1 month it was all cool but then he quit for some reasons...then one day I was looking for someone to wrestle with and I found two guys called ScArY and Ravager so I joined in and thats how ou friendship began...we used to train together alot and stuff...after about 1 month or so I went to this so called great place called vesper bank and guess what? I saw alot of gray people and I was told by alot of people to call guards and so I did and I used to spam it whenever I saw a gray person and after that people hated me they used to gank me etc etc everyday I would have bodies of me lying everywhere...I got sick and tired and needed some help so I wnt to Primal and asked to join his guild but I was too weak to join so yeh I kinda gave that up...Infernal Touch at first sounded pretty awesome to me but they too hated me especially Extas...so then one day I saw alot of BoF ppl attacking IT and they were great I was impressed and so I asked to join and yep after a while I was in and it was great all of them helping me. then after about 1-2 months BoF was nomore active and I kinda had to survive on my own recruitng members and stuff .finally I couldnt take it anymore so I quit BoF and joined the Syndicate and it is great so far this is just a little part of my time on obsidian...I would like to know others stories etc too I kinda miss the old times...

well i started bout 6 months or so ago, first char was abib duh...she was suppose to be a mage but i got lazy with the regs stoof and didnt know what to do so i just started using swords, i used to go to vendors and have em teach me anythin they could(yeah paying for that now tho..)..me and mah homies made this really spiffy guild called heartless, then after i left and i forgot what i join..hrm...i think it was emo kids unite with ashes and moseeeyyyhead...after they got banned..lol...i had pyros made a guild called chilly willy mafia, and then , well now im in a guild with mah doodie head bf,Bryan, called The Perfect Drug..

heres my story:
trying to donload civilization 3 gold edition and GTA vice city 6 months ago. Found FRee Ultima Online on supernova, so downloaded.
Started bruiser as a smith as i wanted to be an artisan. But got drawn away after a few days of mining. (started at 15 mining-noob-so was failing tonnes, so got discgruntled). started training swords etc, but still mining/smithing for cash. After i stopped poofing i was a pretty good smith, but was one day tempted to wrong :/ where a new budding PK lightning'ed me a few times and killed my 80 str smith , the person went by the name voldemort and looted by baldur shadow armour and +5 sword i bought from primal. This got me mad, and i went smithing again to amke more money, but then i read apost on forum, kat ramsey was buying ingots for 10gp each, so i sold here them and joined VTA, where i met lotsa cool ppl who ahve now left.
after making money from kat i bought a small house beside Drizzt, who was so nice to me, a total noob. I reapired for him and DD, who in return got me fff, and let me ID their weapons so i could gM item id skill. I declared Drizzt my UO idol then after while i got in LoV as a new GM smith, sold some rose to the members. Was happy cos now the PK's, like death, impe, slug, (kel wasnt pk then ) :)were in the same guild as me. They all turned out proper sound, love u's! herpes too, u bitch!
Got my house robbed:/ and ex-loki came to kill the ettins that spawned on ma house. Ty kindly, that shadow ettin lord was hardcore.
made bovver my fisher, then zelda, who is my main char now. also met avatar who showed me along the warrior path, was a great buddy, even came fishing with em and me and my bro made harold bishop so we could get wool from sheepies, b4 this i relied on tinkles and phoebe em tahts it,

My story. Sold pay for uo acct for 450bucks to some gay navy sailor. Found Obsidian a month later. Played here for a long time then became staff.

Heres mine:
Started about 1 1/2 years ago. about 20-30 ppl on shard on a good night. Most the shard was ppl I knew in real life (back then 8 or so played in my area) and it was cool. Most people were PKers and I had to learn the hard way how to run and fight. Then the great depression set in on Obs. It was me was a few cubans for the summer. We dabbled in XUO and Obs. Suddenly BB comes back saying he's surprised ppl actually play still. He said if we can get a player base of 20 or more a night for a week, he would again invest time into the world of Obs. We did and he worked hard. A whole flux of noobs came and it was great. Then I became staff. worked really hard for awhile and got tired. Now I just PK and am making a necro.

When I played obisidian before, I was in the influx of n00bs Bobo referred to. I started about the same time as people like Primal, Lister, Katrina Ramsey etc.

Obsidian was my first online gaming experience, so a bigger n00b there never was.

My progress was slow, both because of my n00bishness, and because a hectic schedule and a shard with slow gains don't work too well together. I probably spent 1/4 as much time online as many people do. As people rapidly outpaced me, I abandoned any grand ambitions and simply chose to play at my own pace. Those were the good days.

Then came the Dark Times of constant painfull lag, timewarps, server crashes, and the rather... rocky introduction of the 3rd age patch.

I held out for about a month (which was longer than many other people did) before making the tough decision to leave. Since then I was on a shard that died a sudden death with no warning, and am taking a hiatus from my current shard while some serious staff issues get resolved.

If they get resolved, I won't be staying here. If that shard goes down the toilet, I might be an obsidianite again. It'll be a tough call, because one of the reasons I left is the number of big, unresolved bugs, and that hasn't changed. I've always had a low tolerance for bugs :/

Gotta love the 3rd age patch, pop went from 100+ to 20.

My story....hmmm......

After leaving Project Entropia just after I got back from South Africa, I decided to look for a new MMORPG to play. Not having any luck with the majority, I turned to games off suprnova. Then, one day, a new torrent appeared. Free UO. I downloaded it straight away, and after a while of downloading....I finally started my first character. Instantly made a mistake with race...so I made a second. Played as him for a week or so....then made my third....Lister.

I spent the first while mining and smithing, and hunting a few easy monsters on the side. Finally, I saved up a bit of money, and bought a house with Balkis the Black, beside Rich's house in Minoc. Balkis disappeared after a while, and I noticed a lot of people with the LoV tag in the area. After talking to a few (Rhaegar and McEgg), I was accepted into LoV.

After being looted in Britain while helping Laviscious, I started a warrior. Trained him for a while....and then started a mage. Not really having alot of money, I abandoned the mage early on. I saved for a house in North Minoc (which I still own), and spent most of my time mining or talking to friends. I started a necro then....then deleted him while drunk...and then started another.

Also founded Army of Light...which failed after 90% of the guild members left obs...and then changed the guild to Brothers of Metal (influenced by Manowar). That guild is pretty much gone now....and I spend the short amount of time I have mining or training my new warrior.

That pretty much covers my time in obs

UO was my original Online game back in 1998 played it for about 8months (server name i forget) always admired the originality of the game mechanics.

Then EVERQUEST entered my life and for close to 5years i was a hardcore player (my missus called this period of my life "the years i spent looking at the back of his head") then They brought out just one expansion too many and EQ was getting old, i had done more or less everything on it that could be done.

So i left about 9months ago to try out some other games whilst i awaited EQ2.

Then i found Horizons, a game with great potential, smooth gameplay amazing graphics a simple yet imaginative interface and all let down by a design staff that consisted of 3chimps and a dead frog. After playing for 4months and being able to count the number of "events" that occured on one hand i decided to move on.

Was browsing Supernova for Sheep porn when i stumbled upon the free download, and the retro in me wanted to see what i had been missing.

So i donwliaded the game and lo and behold fk all had changed, but this wasnt a bad thing because the game was already damn good as what it lacked in graphics it made up for in depth.

Now been playing on Obs for a little under 2months playing a few warrior vamps so i could farm worng for cash and still "poof" when Keld came to see me (i love that man lol) then i saved up about 300k and on advice from Zelda/avatar/Slayer Instinct and a few others i started a mage tank who i am now working on.

I enjoy the fact you dont need to have 50people with you to get anything done on the game but that also team events are promoted by GM's and despite the fact this shard has one or 2 idiots (Kaine/Volde ya days are numbered) i like what ive seen here and im trying to get rid of my noob status so i can join a decent guild (no one will have me yet).

One day while the old ragnarok server was down.....which it was alot i created an obsidian account and made a miner named..... i dont remember, anyways i gave up after 20min and went away.

a few months later BB shut down ragnarok and i couldnt leave DX gaming so i looked towards obsidian.

I made Miner / Smith named Buster and join my friends FRL in the many experience that we had.

After alot of doing, i decided to go camping, and left my account with a friend to try out. he made my warrior Asuran (i named it of course) and he played it until i got back.

Being so lame i delelted it and went back to mining! but of course i gave up again and remade Asuran and now hes what he is. Ive played Both Asuran and Buster alot and then made a friend with Dio, who now we share every item and stuff with. Were also friends outside of obsidian...! lol we play other lame games. anyways yea, and then i decided to make a necro.

As a noob / almost real player i moved to Cove and met Abib, Bryan, Zaam, and Dio who all resided outside cove! it was grand, all the PKing and such.

ooooo! story time! like 4-5 months ago, i started playing Osbi... and i noticed how there were NO necros. so i started one and the story about my name... at first i was named Loki (necro). then i found out there was already a player named Loki (mage) in game... so eventually I had my name changed to Bryan. and the "Loki" that was with Tigg is a completely different Loki (mage) than the character in game. anyways, now that you're confused, after constantly banksitting and trainin my necro up, i headed out into the big ole world of Obsidian. *ahem* anyways... i really sucked for a long ass time... but... i got better! i hung out with Primal and other PKers to help get some knowledge of the game...since the red players at that time actually had to have some experience... unlike now and i used to hunt a lot so i met quite a few people that way. i used to use IRC religiously... at first because there was shit else to do when i would train necro... but then i met Abib.. and all that changed. i dont really think any of you want details about that... so i wont make you read them... anyways, i wasnt good enough to join LoV i GM'd necro finally, and i joined the Council with Coke but he kinda took off. so i made my own guild and now i'm in a guild with my beautiful wife Abib

I started playing in January, met Atomisk early on in Cove orc fort, and we killed a lot of orc shadows there, making a lot of money off the blackrock they dropped. Then we formed the nonpk Minoc-based guild Legion of Valour (the original members that are still here are me, atom, limski, lister and narcom), just a bunch of complete newbies, were chaos, but got raped by people like Zhad, so we switched to neutral. Almost everyone in the guild including the leader went missing so we couldn't do anything for a long time. We opted Atomisk as leader, got a new guild stone in a top secret location and became Legion of Valor since the Americans took control. My first character was Keldorn the human pure warrior swordsman, but when I finished blacksmithy and had a bunch of armor saved up, I created the new one, switched to fencing with 50 healing/resist, and started off having just enough magery to to cast cure, protection and reactive armor. Obviously that wasn't enough for me. Way down the line, we never saw Atomisk anymore, and there was a long line of recruits waiting to be approved, so after a lot of trouble getting over 50% of members to pledge fealty, I became guildmaster and still am.
