To LegendaryProdigy you are right about some of what you saying.
The bible has to many big holes.Like turning blood in to wine. I can say to you i know a guy who fu*ks his sister and you tell some 1 and he tells some 1 B4 you know it all of you are saying that is sick. oh and annother thing.. there is supposidly an eternal battle going on between heaven and hell rite... i guess this over souls correct? well even in the bible it states that in the end.. the number of ppl that get into heaven will be very small.... so by this.... does that mean that satan will have won the war by having more souls... and if so.. that throws off the whole concept of god.. becaues god (as believed).. is unfallible.. he cant be proven wrong... or be beaten.. and if he was.. it would toss out his very existance

this is a pretty good topic i think and it brings to my mind a question i was once asked, if god is the all knowing being who can do anything and has all the powers of the universe, can he create a stone that is too heavy for him to lift? think about that for a minute, its gets you thinking..anyways i myself am a christian, i believe in god and i go to church, but i too have thoughts about christianity and religion, bad thoughts, stuff that makes me think why am i going to church every week to serve a god that is basically putting a gun to everyones head and saying serve me or go to hell, its a very confusing thing and in the end you just choose what you think is right, however it does say in the bible that god does not create us as puppets, meaning we were not born with the belief that there was a god, but instead we learn about it and choose to believe in it or not, never in my life have i ever not liked someone for not being a christian and i never will, i think everyone has the right to believe what they wish as long as they dont call people idiots for believing in something else, just choose what you think is right and what you think you will be happy with, anyways thats just my 2 cents

I heard a discussion between a believer and a atheist some years ago that's stuck in my mind. It's about the belief that since he is GOD he can't be proven wrong... or be beaten and that he can do anything and so on. I know it's ludicrious to discuss things like this but I thought it was funny

The discussion went something like this:

Atheist: -Can God do anything and everything?

Believer: -Yes.. off course he can!

Atheist: -So then it's possible for GOD to create a stone so freakin large that he can't lift it

Believer: -uhmm yes i guess he could if he wanted to..

Atheist: -But that can't be right, u said GOD can do anything and everything,

Believer: -well he wouldn't..

Atheist: -It doesn't matter if he wouldn't, u said he could if he felt like it. In doing a stone like that would prove that he wans't GOD since he proves himself not to be able to do everything.

Believer: -but wait a..

Atheist: -So the conclusion would be that for all these years u've been believing in a GOD that actually aint a GOD, how thus that feel?

Beliver: -but..

Atheist: -I rest my case!

Sidenote: stories like this comes in all kinds of various forms. There is a simillar thing in the beginning of Douglas Adams "Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" witch I find amusing as well where if I'm not misstaken GOD creates a thing that proves that GOD can't exist and when he realise it he goes up in smoke.. LOL

i dunno... i just refuse to be bound to a religion based on fear.. and besides none of them touch me.. i have never felt anything from anyone one of them.. i do not denounce that soemthing higher than me does exist tho.. it could be a god or what ever u wanna call it.. maybe somethin much more simple but... i do have that beliefe.. but i have something special in my beliefes... it is my own... and that i believe is the very best to have...

obviously the flawed logic in the atheist's argument is asking a contradicting statement, which is already absurd, considering God is probably something that goes far behind the physical limitations such as weight capacity that we deal with (duh)

It's like discussing the meaning of infinity. Even though we can put a name for it and say that something is infinitely great. We wont really comprehend what that means other the the meaning we have put in the words. We might think we do, but a human mind can't fully understand the meaning of it regardless how much we try

heres a cool analogy to picture infinity..picture a big brass ball as big as the earth just floating in outter space, and picture a bird as big as a raven...now picture every 10 thousand years this bird flies by the brass ball and just BARELY nicks it with its wing, and eventually over time the birds wing whithers the big brass ball into absolutely nothing..this is a good start on comprehending how long eternity is but if you think about this little story sooner or later the big brass ball does wither away into nothing eve though it would take billions of years its still going to end..i wonder if it is possible to give an anology for how long eternity is...??
and to answer some questions the bible says that man will never truly understand how the universe works and how everything is until they are filled with gods holy spirit and enter into the gates of heaven..which i also think is dumb, we should atleast get a help and knowledge and understanding while were livin on this cruel earth...very cruel....nobody likes me
