Tinkering
Skill details:
- The Tinkerer has always been the 'orphan child' in UO and at one time was good for very little save making mundane tools, but has developed many new skills over the years.
- Concider the tinkerer the maker of all tools and gadgets.
- Tinkerers are the best source for lockpicks because from a vendor they cost 100gp and the tinkerer can make them for 5 ingot a piece.
- Decently skilled tinkerers can make tinkering tools to make sure to have a spare set of tools.
- Tinkering works the same on normal and colored ingots, the result is the same.
Skill usage:
The act of tinkering
is using tinkering tools iron or colored ingots as well as wood. As stated
above there's not advantage toward using colored ingots so it's kind of
a waste. You can get ingots through mining
and wooden boards through lumberjacking.
Then double
click on your tinkering tools and it will bring up the tinkering menu.
Available things to tinker will depend on your skill as well
as how many ingots and/or wood you have in your pack.
