True, personally I liked it as fully lit... should be fairly easy to do. Perhaps a simple forum poll to see what everyone thinks?
Bob if you think this is viable please send me a PM and I'll make a poll.

Lit was better...
Dark enough that you can't see the tiles, and blocking magic so you can't night sight is a bit much.

what if you have ns already cast before you go in? is it still dark?
and ns on the race stone should not be blocked by anti magic (if it is). i can understand why magic is though. always wished there was a way to seperate abilities from spells as they would have different limits realistically speaking.

All of my chars are human so I have no idea if the race stone would do anything. Only two of my chars have any magic skill, and I haven't tried casting before I go. Even if it works my other 2 chars are still out of luck.

Dark where you can't use nightsight = gay, the end.

Bring your own! Back in my days you had to walk, run, ride and sail just to visit a dungeon.
Pfft. Kids these days.

BB and Drak:
I blame you both for making me weak. Heh. J/K...
Yep, I was a bit taken aback when the world finally actually had some real light/dark aspect to it.
I (and many others) remember <coughs> when torches actually were useful.
Now, jezuz-cristeh-!@#@$#%@#%@, I have to remember to use/have them again...
Oh... and I am...your FATHER!
(ok...done posting for tonight! great shard, dude(tte)s!!!)
Edit: You guys both forgot being PKed...uphill...BOTH WAYS...

Torches is how I get around it now.
FWIW - Drak may not be old enough to be your father, but I might be...

I prefered those days of uo, when the game really was an adventure game - sailing & whatnot not that i don't enjoy what we have now.
Whats the problem with it being dark anyways?? Its a through-room. I.e. enter exit

thing is i barely see the runecode tiles
rune chamber should be lit anyways, its not really a critical part of the game anyways in a way.
