rofl, if there that stupid shouldn't speech be impaired on warriors?
and i wouldn't think 50-70 is average,, well not in America at least :/
and i wouldnt think a fact known is actual intelligence but the ability to learn new ones
or process them would be real intelligence.
maybe int should increase gains also seeing it should be easier to learn,
and the lower ur int is the slower you gain, "because smart people learn from others mistakes", i think the corny saying goes
gains are hard enough tho,

chips - i've thought about the speech thing. Don't tempt me.
and int will never affect gains, nor will dex/str, outside of their respective ways they do already.
Reason being is people will just bomb int, train, then drop it.
which is against the goal of obsidian, which is to have people PLAY the game, and the chars improve as you play, not people sitting around training skills.

No matter what is done people will always sit around and train. People will always put more energy into finding the most efficient way to train then into actually playing the game, especially when most people who would be drawn to Obsidian are UO vets who already did the boring parts of the game multiple times over the years.
This is a competitive game, and folks are going to do whatever their intelligence allows them to do in order to archive a competitive advantage. Your delusional and fighting a loosing battle if you think otherwise.

well damn
well i actually try to play on my characters to gain lol cept for if im trying to get to do something really quickly
such as make a certain pot or pvp
so its not a COMPLETELY lost dream, but ya people want to get there skills AsAp so
there will always be stand alone training, but bob think of it as they had to play to do such, like magery have to play to get regs, alchemy play to get regs
but as for skills such as fishing and black smithing which have no real use until 80 i dont see the playing and getting better thing happening,
SPECIALLY with fishing, ur just gonna have to train the bitch lol

I just got home from work and was in a rather foul mood when I wrote that, but I suppose it's true without the sarcasm.

The point is not to force people not to. The point is to deter them from doing so and to make it in their best interests to play the game rather than sit around.
If someone would rather sit around doing something repetetive than playing and having fun, then that thing obviously needs some upgrades to make it more playing friendly.

I would love to see something done with fishing because the way it is now is insanely annoying. Even like a next tile maro or something to keep us from having to target manually. I tried fishing at like 2 am one night and i just couldn't do it. I had tears in my eyes they were straining so bad.

whole day =[

LMAO spawn! so off topic
but i do agree, im pretty sure in every time period this could have taken place in there were people with naturally jet black hair....
yet we can have hair thats blue/green/red/orange
i find this heavily annoying, it doesnt follow ANY sort of realism,,,
ALSO mammoth str gains have always been kinda nil with the sword, try macing, and buy macing FFF that should get you up to 95 str i beilieve, swords only gets u to 75
