My story!
I began to play on obsidian when the shard had just been around for roughly a year. Decided to do a Dark Elf warrior since they had good abilities (berzerk, wall of fire) after couple of month we created the guild Berzerkers of Flame. We thought the name was good since it reflected the dark elf abilities we used in combat.
After we created the guild we started to become hunted by all sorts of pk's. Players like Wamprese Eve, Gromph, Ultimessiah and Sailor Mercury scared the crap out of me and my friends. Eventually we gm'ed our warrior skills and with berzerk we became almost impossible to kill and by then we had meet many new friends. Then started to join many hunting groups that hunted pk's like SeekND, he was for some reason more or less hated by everyone, so there was loads of hunting parties trying to hunt him and his guild mates down, not to say we where successful but it was really fun times. The reason for me tagging along hunting was that it was an opportunity to fight pvp. And since I was a lousy pvp player but hard to kill I tag along and help as best I could and let the others die
I'm still lousy at pvp and now a day I'm even easy to kill
But Unfortunate I got other things on my mind then the actual playing with a char and the obs.. community so I went along with a GM that had an idea of creating his own shard so I left Obs.. to the shard and became the host for it. (Not the best idea in the world when I look back at it but felt right at the time and I learned a lot of things but If I had the choice again I wouldn't do it) I stayed with the other shard for a year or so and during that time I meet my current rl wife (she doesn't play UO btw even though it would be fun if she did:) ) and stopped playing UO for a year or so had rl things that took to much time so I didn't have time to play.
Then couple of month ago one of my rl friends had read on the obs.. forum and we started talking about the old days so we decided to return.
And so here I am now, with a new account. My warrior char suck, my miner/smith is even worse but I'm working on it and I have loads of fun and I haven?t regret that I decided to come back. And I think I wont stop playing entirely until Obs.. closes if it ever does.
wood elf crafters are hardcore too. 30 magery cap sucks though recalling is near impossible.
yeah it is very true that both elves are tough path and tinkerer impressed me long time ago with wood elf
